Hello dear travelers,
I, like you, love to explore new places, so I will show you the best way to enjoy Slatine and the town Trogir.
Ana's mother welcomed us with her cherish smile and with local delicius specialties. It was very very nice not only at the beginning because she took care of us all of the time. The apartment is very unique and cosy. It is situated very close to the see beach and at very quiet part of Slatine area. There is a lot of space for even 6 and more persons and it is suitable and safe for small children. There is the most charming patio I ever have seen. Covered by grapes and nice flowers, plants makes this place very unique. Every morning many butterflies flying around you inside shade part of patio what is very good starter for next sunny and good day. I wish I could be hosted again in this apartment.
Spaceous clean apartment with lovely private terrace with table, hammock and swing shaded by vines, kiwi and citrus plants. Pristine pebble beach a short walk away which was not crowded even in peak season. We didnt meet Ana as she was working but her mother Donka was generous, helpful and ensured our stay was as pleasant as possible.
Ana's place is really good to stay and spend few days near Trogir and Split. House, hammock, beach - everything was as described.
We didn't meet Ana personally, but her mother was more than welcoming. She took great care about us during our stay.
We enjoyed our vacations tanks to ana's mom who was a wonderful hostress!! The house is very confortable even in case of warmth.
Do not hesitate renting this place right beside the beach and closed to the beautiful Trogir!
A quaint and lovely place, the accommodation is simple and has a nice outdoor space to relax. The beach is a few minutes away. The host was spoiling us with local delights and was more then welcoming. Our three year old daughter loved the hammock, swing a turtle in the garden, the dog and her 4 year old play friend, for her it was a perfect holiday, therefore the parents could relax even more. ;)
Communication with Ana was very effective - she responded quickly and was very helpful. She wasn't there at the time of our holiday, but there was her mother who is a great host. She was helpful, discrete and very welcoming. She even prepared us a surprise feast with local food (her own, organic origin).
The house is a little outdated, but very well kept and clean, which is the most important. You will find everything you need there, including in the kitchen. The beach is nearby, and there you can find a small bar with friendly stuff and rent sun beds and umbrellas. The shops and restaurants are not very close but you can go by car anytime - there is enough parking place in front of the house, so that you have no worries about parking returning to the house.
The best feature is, there was no crowd on the beach even during peak season at the beginning of Aug (which might be annoying in Croatian coast at this time)! However, getting to Trogir (which is very nice, Unesco protected town) and off the Ciovo island to explore the mainland is another story - the traffic is terrible.
My only consideration was the mosquitoes. There are plenty around the house, even during day, and quite aggressive. Therefore we couldn't really enjoy a private garden, beautifully kept by Ana's mother (we were inside the house, luckily with air condition).
I would recommend Ana's house, just bring effective mosquitoes repellents.
I would highly recommend the apartment, which is in a very beautiful location close to Slatine. It is also very easy to catch the ferry from Slatine to Split as I did quite often. Ana and her family were wonderful hosts and would often check to see we were settling down well. Thank you for making our stay memorable!
Ana was a great host!! The apartment was awesome, in a great location in beautiful Slatine, and Ana and her family even gave us some wonderful food! I would highly recommend staying here. Thanks!
