I was looking for a place to stay over July 4th weekend. I came across this listing and the location was center to the areas I was visiting, by Frenchtown, NJ and Doylestown, PA. The house is very easy to find and the place itself is so quaint, comfy, and relaxing (artistic decor, home settings, the vegetation outside). I used the grill in the backyard and had a lovely BBQ dinner, within close view of the water . I thoroughly enjoyed walking behind the house on the trail just beside the Delaware River Canal, it's quite a sight!
The host was very prompt with communication correspondence and answered my questions in detail. Also gave suggestions of places to see whether local attractions, restaurants, or activities. It was such a scenic and memorable stay!!! I'd be interested in coming back in the fall to see the foliage.
My 12 year old son and I spent the weekend at this charming 1840's brick home, located conveniently on the PA side of the Riegelsville Bridge. He was thrilled with the loft set up and private bathroom. The beds were comfortable and we got a couple of good quiet nights of rest!
The hosts, Bill and Liz, were a genuinely nice and very interesting couple involved in the arts. Liz fixed a nice homemade breakfast of oatmeal, fresh fruit and nuts one day which my generally finicky son loved. The waffles on the second morning were a hit!
They were both very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some ideas for activities on the one day where the weather was questionable for canoeing. The river is steps away. There are great bike paths and quiet country roads to tour on.
Overall a nice weekend and we plan on coming back.
