Hi my name is Leslie!
Leslie's apartment is wonderful! I stayed for seven nights, and the only difficult part was leaving! It was amazing to have so much natural light in the living area, with big windows and a wide open view (we spent some time just lounging around and enjoying the excellent wifi). But the bedroom is nice and dark for sleeping. The apartment was high enough up to insulate us from the noise of the city, even with one of the windows open at night (well I did hear the odd siren, but it's New York). The building is very quiet, which makes the apartment a beautiful oasis after running around the city all day and evening. We enjoyed morning coffee on her balcony or on the building's lovely rooftop. All of the arrangements with Leslie were smooth and stress-free, and since it was my first Airbnb experience that was important to me. She left us plenty of space for our stuff, which meant we could really settle in. I almost felt like a real New Yorker ;) And, as most of the reviews mention, the apartment is in the perfect location. You can get anywhere in the city, including Brooklyn, very easily, but there are also so many great places right in the neighbourhood. I've usually stayed in Midtown and I much preferred this. Not that there aren't lots of people and tourists everywhere in NYC, but this has much more of a neighbourhood vibe and it was much easier to find great restaurants without ending up in tourist traps. If you're a coffee fiend like me, there are lots of great spots within a short walk - I didn't end up in Starbucks even once! And you really need to try a slice of Joe's Pizza - well, I may have stopped in there twice...
Leslie's place was clean and beautiful. The Moroccan-themed apartment takes you to a different world. It's centrally-located to everything and just a short block away from Union Square! Duane Reade, Whole Foods, and dry cleaners are just around corner. She has a nice flat screen with HBO--we didn't have to miss our favorite show, Game of Thrones, while we're traveling! The building's quiet and the doormen are all very friendly. It's truly an oasis. We also didn't have any problem communicating with Leslie when we needed something. She responded very quickly and answered any questions we had. Would love to (email hidden) again!
I stayed at Leslie's place for four nights and had an exceptional experience. Leslie's place is cozy and colorful and is located in a fantastic spot, with everything within walking distance; subways, Union Square, the East-Village and many great food locations.
The booking process and check in / check out were really smooth and easy. Leslie really wanted me to feel welcome –and I did! Highly recommended.
Great location and beautiful apartment. The apartment was very clean and had a very homely feel. The private terrace was awesome! Leslie replied very quickly to address any queries and provided lots of helpful info. The doorman was very friendly and helpful too. You won't have any complaints if you stay here!
Fantastic location-felt safe and secure, even at night. Subways and markets very close. Roomy and clean dwelling with awesome views and roof deck. Leslie was very helpful and communicative. Would definitely stay again!
Our stay at Leslie's was great. She reached out right away via phone to check in with me about the place. Communication was excellent. The apartment is small and cozy with a view over the rooftops from the 14th floor. Loved the dishwasher and oven too! Bed very comfortable and the bathtub made it nice. There's a small terrace but it was too cold to experience it. Sheets were clean and towels left clean and ready for use. We'd love to stay there again.
Leslie's appartment is situated in a very central area, you can easily walk to lots of great places. Felt safe to come back to late at night especially as there is a doorman. The apartment itself is very clean, cosy and well heated. Bed very comfortable, nice sheets, soft towels, generally a sweet vibe. Leslie very available if any questions and also allowed us our privacy. Thank you.
Leslie's place is great! lots of light comes through the windows - it's also well located near union square. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it.
My friend and I stayed at leslie's apartment for 12 days at the beginning of September 2013. We really loved the apartment and Manhatten .The apartment has one bedroom ,a lounge and (email hidden) is furnished with lovely rugs and is large for Manhatten . It also has a small terrace . It has air conditioning and most everything you could need. There is a card you can purchase for the laundry in the basement. The apartment is furnished -with a large TV. The sofa is big enough to sleep on and is ultra comfortable. The apartment is within walking distance of Greenwich,West Village,Chelsea etc.The subway is easy to use and closeby . We used the subway to go uptown .There is a deli called Everyday Bagels if u turn left out of the apartment and walk up a block. Very cheap -nice food.Opposite that is a cool cafe with an Aussie who makes great coffee.(Can't remember the name) We would not hesitate to reccommend this apartment. We recommend a taxi from the airport (round $60 with tip) .The shopping is great and the people in Manhatten are the most friendly I have ever met. We would go back tomorrow if we had the chance!!Loved it.
Leslie's apartment was lovely, and the terrace was perfect for summer dining. Leslie was very accommodating and addressed any issue that arose promptly and efficiently. All in all this was a terrific experience!
Tracy was a lovely guest. She took good care of everything and left the place in good shape. Great communicater throughout the whole process and a really nice person to deal with. Thanks and I recommend Leslie as a great guest!
Leslie stood a few days in our rental and she was really kind and quiet. She also took good care of the place and took the time to do a little bit of cleaning before leaving.
