I enjoy live music, the theater experience, film, dance, art, local haunts, the surreal, Butoh, cooking, vegetarian food, creatures, antique objects, travel, nature, camping, thrifting, photography, costumes, community activism, culture, bicycle riding, trekking, urban gardening, reading, and observation. I've lived and traveled in Mexico, Guatemala, and Chile and had wonderful host families. I'm inspired by my eco-conscious hosts who reduce their environmental impact by recycling, reusing and conserving our resources. I love hosting and welcoming new friends to exchange and share connections.
I enjoy connecting with Chicago's performance art and dance community. I dabble in music making and enjoy making noise in our make shift studio.
I volunteer teaching English to immigrants at a local non profit.
I love being outside, going to new places, and gardening in our community space with neighbors.
I have had a great experience hosting and as a guest with Airbnb. Most recently, I visited NYC for the first time. I appreciate the guidance and care that my hosts extended. The people are the amenities, the stories, and the experience.
My favorite author is Mary Karr. John likes Rudy Rucker. We also like Arrested Development, Jim Jarmusch, Almodovar, John Waters, these lists spiral in every direction.
