Hi I'm Viv,
Please contact me with any requirements/questions so I can make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Looking forward to meeting you with a warm welcome.
Enchanting little hideaway in pretty garden - safe and snug and bright and with everything you need and more. Hosts very welcoming and kind. Hostess comes across the lawn with a lovely breakfast. She's also prepared to lend you her bicycle and recommend special places to visit. Ryde itself very pretty, with gardens full of daffodils and mimosa tho it was still only February.
Spent 3 nights in this lovely comfortable, warm and cosy chalet. Even in the severest gale of the century (100 mph winds and lashing rain) we felt very cosy and secure. Viv was very welcoming and provided us with breakfast on a tray each morning after asking us exactly what we would like. Tiger Lily (the tabby cat) was a frequent visitor - very loving and friendly. It was very relaxing to sit in the front part of the chalet and look at the lovely garden. It is very peaceful here and feels like you are in a woodland. There was no hair drier provided but Viv said she would get one for future users.
This garden chalet was the perfect place to stay when looking for relaxation, peaceful surroundings, a good night's sleep, excellent facilities and a delicious and plentiful breakfast. It's situated in a tranquil garden with a lovely pond next to it, and plenty of privacy as it is tucked away next to pretty trees and bushes. Viv and Steve were superb hosts, welcoming and friendly, and able to give me suggestions of a range of things to do in the area while visiting. There were lovely little extra features that made my stay even more enjoyable, like the music provided for the CD player, the kind offer of use of their bicycles, a torch to use at night to cross the garden, watching out of the window at the cats playing, and the decor of the place which reminded me of a beach house, although it was cosy and well heated for my stay in late October.
I would definitely stay there again if I had the chance, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway with access to local shops, cafes, bars, the hovercraft terminal, and buses stopping nearby that go to other parts of the island.
See it for yourself!
