I am an artist living betwen New York and Paris.
I have an acting school in both cities.
Amy was very kind and generous. We had everything we could hope for and more. I highly recommend her as a host.
Her apartment is GORGEOUS with lots of light , plenty of space and incredibly clean. Each room has beautiful art, crafts and tasteful furnishings. The neighborhood is one of the most charming in Paris!
We stayed in Amy's place over the Thanksgiving break with five adults. It was the perfect place for us to relax and warm up after long days of sightseeing.
The space is open and light and extremely comfortable. Amy's friend was waiting for us when we arrived and had already set out food for us for breakfast the next day.
The neighborhood is a welcome escape from the busier areas of Paris but still very convenient to downtown within a short walk and metro ride. There are grocery stores and restaurants very close. The house itself was in splendid condition and just fun to hang out in. The only concern was that the hot water was out one morning, but the host was very responsive when we notified her, so it really wasn't a problem at all. I'd definitely highly recommend this place. Thanks for a great holiday!
we enjoyed the (large!) apartment very much: lots of space, perfect kitchen, very nice neighborhood, and a very friendly welcome by Helena.
We enjoyed our stay at Amy's. her place has a very nice feel, great neighborhood. she left us a lovely breakfast. i would definitely go back. thanks, nora
We found the apartment to be in a lovely village area in the d'Italie area of Paris. We were greeted by an extremely helpful friend of Amy's who had prepared us a yummy basket of breads, preserves and fresh fruit for our arrival. The Loft apartment was charming, clean, safe, really well equiped, with georgeous views of the local street and neighbourhood. Snapshot of the area: A great cafe on the corner; supermarket down the road; on Sundays a fantastic food and veg market up the road; the Metro (that goes striaight to the Eurostar at Guarde de Norde) about a 10-15 minute walk away; bars and more bars a little walk up the road. The apartment was perfect for us, who wanted to experience a more local Paris, away from touristy areas, but still accessable via Metro to everything a tourist likes.
All our dealings and queries with Amy herself have been a pleasure, with our questions addessed in a quick and always helpful manner. Thanks a million Amy, we loved our stay in Paris! Kate and Terence (Melbourne, Australia).
The loft is HUGE and has beautiful light in midday, and is on a quiet street. The Buttes-aux-Cailles area is really great, feels like a nice little village where real people live. Pretty bohemian, in a good way. Amy was really helpful and quick to reply to email and phone calls, and her friend who lets you in and shows you around was also really nice.
Amy was a delight to rent from and her apartment was charming, as promised. We really enjoyed staying at her one bedroom in Paris.
What a lovely area of Paris! I can give it my highest recommendations.
We got a very warm welcome to Amys apartment. An welcome that made for a very good beginning of the stay. Thank you for that.
If I come back to Paris I will definitely stay in the same area again.
My boyfriend and I came to Paris for the weekend and stayed in Amy's place in Butte aux Cailles. The area is fantastic - very authentically French with little to no tourists around. There's a fantastic market close by on the weekends (right where the nearest metro stop is) which sells everything under the sun from food to clothing etc. There are a couple of great bars as well - at the top of the hill where you run with everything from hipsters to young professionals to families.
Amy's place is lovely - it has been recently renovated and is very spacious for two people. The bedroom has a tv (which we never had time to watch) and the living room is outfitted w a couch and dining set. The kitchen is simple - enough dishes and cutlery to get by with an easy meal. There is even a washer/dryer in the event someone spills wine on linen pants (definitely happened to us!). Velib bike stations are close by too. This is perfect place for a Parisian trip to this wonderful city!
Full of energy, talkative, open, up front. An Airbnb host in Paris for almost 2 years. She is an experienced traveller who knows what she wants. She is very easy to talk and open minded. Recommended airbnb traveller.
