Very nice apartment, like the photos, easy check in and check out, some open air (loft style) bedroom, which worked well for us because we were a group of friends. Very clean. Excellent location. Would recommend
This was not a great experience, and the only negative one we had all of Italy. We carefully selected this apartment months before travelling because of its location and that it advertised having a washer and dryer. We sorted apartments by only those that had it. This was half way through our trip, we had large backpacks of clothes for 17 days, we needed to do laundry half way through. We selected this one, though it was a bit more expensive, due to washer AND dryer, because most only had washer. We traveled to Rome from Capri which meant a really long day (a taxi to the ferry, ferry to mainland, taxi to train, train to Rome, bus from the train). Finally arrived and the instructions said "apartment is walking distance from bus stop." these are not acceptable instructions or directions. we tried calling and spent $26 dollars on international fees calling three different numbers (host number, agency number, emergency number). The people who answered the phone did not speak English well and could not provide directions. They continually hung up on us. They kept asking when we would be there and telling us they could not wait. We kept telling them we did not know how to find the apartment and asking if they could meet us at the bus stop. We walked around, with all of our luggage, for almost two hours. We asked local cops, taxi drivers, and business owners where the address was, and no one knew. The address said: Via della Minerva 5 1. Finally we ended up at a hotel and I was ready to give up, be out the money, and check into the hotel. The hotel kindly called the number we had been calling (and people had stopped answering). The people did answer the local call and the hotel in Italian explained where we were and someone came to meet us. The person who met us did not apologize. She took us to the apartment which was Via della Minerva 5. We showed her the printed paper we had and she said I don't know why that address is on there, that's the wrong one. When we arrived, we walked around and noted there was no washer and no dryer. the woman had no idea, she said this is not my apartment sorry. And that was it. The location was great and as advertised, the apartment was clean, but receiving guests from foreign country requires someone to MEET them at the bus stop, or give very good directions, not expect you to wander around looking for an address in another country. Also, someone who speaks English well should be answering the phone to check you in. Further, false advertising of the washer and dryer was really inappropriate. We would have selected a different apartment, that cost less, if we wanted one that had neither a washer or dryer.
Beautiful apartment with great location! Colosseum is about 10 minutes walk away. But it seems less since there is something beautiful to see on each corner. The Termini train station is literally right across the street. The apartment it self is very nice! The bathrooms are nice, but the showers have very poor water pressure. All in all very beautiful and clean apartment. We would definitely rent it again, if we are welcome back :)
Overall, this apartment is great. The location is perfect being walking distance from the Vatican and Rome attractions while surrounded by excellent restaurants and shops. The pictures are accurate. The terrace is wonderful. Only some minor details that would have made the stay better, such as additional towels, toilet paper and a shower curtain. The key holder promptly met us (even though I phoned the incorrect number) and provided us with a map and suggestions on where to eat, what to visit, etc. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it to others! Thanks for an enjoyable trip.
Brilliant flat & location. Super great.
To find comfortably furnished apartments in Rome, you often have to search outside of the the center. So I was glad to discover this listing right where we wanted to be in the Trastevere. The owners of the apartment have a property management company handling all bookings, so I communicated with bureau representatives and was met by a key holder, Constanza, on arrival. Constanza was very familiar with the apartment so our orientation was efficient and thorough. In addition to having generously furnished living areas, the apartment is well appointed with comfortable beds and high-quality linens. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and tableware. And the bathrooms are in great condition with plenty of hot water at good pressure. In the week we spent there, we had no issues or complaints of any kind.
Interpreting the stories houses tell is a big part of what makes airbnb an attractive alternative to the anonymity of a hotel. This home's story is that of a sophisticated older couple with a large close-knit family. Much of the art that can be seen in the listing's images is that of a twentieth-century Italian who, it appears, primarily explored sensorial abstractions of the human form. The juxtaposition of this impressively comprehensive collection with less remarkable 19th century landscape painting and portraiture is charming in its incongruity. Should this apartment be available during our next visit, I wouldn't hesitate to book it again.
Unfortunately the day before we travelled our original booking had to be changed due to unforeseen maintenance works. However Boris and his team moved swiftly to organise an alternative that was suitable. They also bought us lunch in a wonderful restaurant near our new accommodation and this more than made up for the last minute inconvenience. A lovely touch and much appreciated. In the eventuality the location was better for us even if the actual accommodation perhaps was not quite as perfect for our needs. We had a wonderful time in Rome and have been vocal in our support of Airbnb and we would not hesitate to recommend Boris to friends travelling to the city.
We stated at this beautiful apartment for 5 nights and it was wonderful! We booked last minute and the staff was very accommodating. The apartment was clean and comfortable, not to mention beautiful. The neighborhood was perfect from the Café in the building, to the access to the bridge to cross to and from the city center. Unfortunately, the building is under construction so we had scaffolding and men working outside our windows and we did not have a view to the river. I would recommend this home to anyone visiting Rome- you will not be disappointed!!
