Angelo had two apologies at our arrival:
- 1st: The "maid" didn´t succeed to clean the house at the day of our arrival. Allegedly she cleaned it up one day before, but it really didn´t seem so.
- 2nd: The door-handle from the bathroom-door was broken. So we had trouble to get out of the bathroom every day.
At first we didn´t care about that.
But!: More than one week later, Angelo claimed a refund over 100$ from us. The reason: We didn´t carry out the rubbish-bags! For information only: the trash-can was already filled up at our arrival and the house was´t cleaned. Although we paid a cleaning-fee!
With hindsight, this procedure smells like deception.
Luckily, even airbnb rejected his claim.
Casa carina e tranquilla...consente di godersi roma partendo da una buona base. La zona mi piace ed angelo è stato cortese e mai invadente..il prezzo poi è vantaggioso insomma la consiglio
Angelo is a pleasant end light-hearted host, and his house is an interesting option to stay in Rome. Nice location, reasonable price, authentic atmosphere, patio! IMHO, not for romatic trip to Rome.
There is a big supermarket 7 minutes away, as far as the metrostation. However, it takes you about all in all 40 minutes to get in the city centre. Besides this, we were very pleased with the place and we were picked up at the metrostation by Angelo!
We would have never found it in the night by ourselfs, as the entrance is in the backyard of a backyard.
Unfortunately we had no acess to the internet; Angelo gave us a password, but it didn't seem to work, that was it. Weekends the nights are, as other guests already mentioned, very noisy!
We also were pleased, that Angelo helped us to get a taxi in the wee hours of the morning for our return flight, as this doesn't seem to be too easy.
I've rented Angelo's place for one week for my family while there were visiting my in Rome. It was definitely worth it's price. Maybe it is a little bit far from the center, by neighborhood is very quite, so you can get nice rest after all day of sightseeing.
I thoroughly enjoy staying at Angelo's comfortable and very interesting apartment. He is a great host, accompanied by his delightful, friendly dog Kate.
The flat is in a good area of Rome, a little way off the Toscolna Rd and about ten minutes to the metro.
The Price/quality is good for this place. The house matches its description. There is a great bakery just 2 minutes away. However, it takes you about 40 minutes to get in the city centre. Besides this, we were very pleased with the place and we were picked up at the airport by Angelo!
Angelo welcomed us into his house and answered all the questions we had. He was always just a phonecall away and even arranged the taxi ride back to the airport (since we don't speak italian). The area is safe and quiet under the week (be prepared for music and chatter after midnight on the weekends). All together, we had a great stay in Angelos home. A good place to stay when in Rome.
