In a semi-nutshell: was born in Dallas, mostly raised in Queens, N.Y.; I've lived in Asia for two years, teaching English - South
Korea and China; vacationed in Japan, Jeju Island, and spent some time in
Thailand; I am an artist - Dancer (folkloric dances of the middle east and
its creative conglomerates better known as Bellydance, a bit of Argentine
Tanto, some Ballet training, authentic movement, some Salsa training...), I
paint, play with pastels, love paper crafts and jewelry design, learned to
play the flute, play piano by ear, compose music via computer software, am
in love with astronomy (okay, I am obsessed with the beauty of space...not

I'm a PhD student in Psychology, with a concentration in Transpersonal Studies, and specialization in Creative Expression. My research interests are the discovery and cultivation of one's personal story through myth, storytelling, the arts
AND sciences. I'm using this program as a means to fine tune the skills and
tools I have so that I can develop a school and dance company focused on a
holistic way of expression and integration.
I'm a woman of mixed heritage, so I deeply appreciate the many cultural and
ethnic influences of my identity. Some day I'd like to visit most, if not
all of the countries my 'direct' ancestors are from: Scotland, India,
Egypt, South Africa, Jamaica, to name a few. I might start with Jamaica
since it's closer.
I enjoy reading fantasy novels, scientific journals/research on dreams, and
whatever I find interesting in the moment; I also enjoy watching Japanese
Oh and the music I love to listen to and blast in the car: Trailer Music/Music for TV, Film, and Gaming; Anime Soundtracks, the occasional J-Pop, and Classical [Vivaldi being a top fave].
