Jeremiah was super nice. I spoke to his mother on the phone before we arrived and she gave us great directions. Jeremiah welcomed us in and showed us around. He had some great suggestions on what to do in the area and had a positive and welcoming attitude.
The space is gorgeous. The view from the studio is one of the best I've had in a place I stayed in and we really enjoyed listening to the birds and the rain. It was quite peaceful and we were sad to leave. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in a beautiful and serene place in Maui.
Sorry, for the delay with his review but after leaving Jeremiah's wonderful place in Haiku we spent four days in a state park in Hana with no wifi access.
Jeremiah's place is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Unlike the state park; it had all the conveniences that we needed, such as a good stove, warm blankets and wifi. The view from the window seat in the living is wonderful and the light coming through the glass block wall in the shower is very atmospheric. Jeremiah's mom, Mary, gave us lots of interesting details and stories about the property and their dog was kind enough to accompany us on our first morning walk so we would not get lost. If your planning a visit to the Paia/Macwao area of Maui I would encourage you to drive the few extra miles to the coast of Haiku and stay at Jeremiah's place. You'll see a part of Maui most visitors miss and you'll stay in a lovely place.
When we arrived at Jeremiah's house, everything is ready. His Mom, Mary picked fresh eggs for us. Mary is such sweet host and she told me where should we see and where to eat. We have never been Maui before. Her instructions made a big difference for us to look around this beautiful Island. We had a very good time to stay at Jeremiah's place.
Really great place to take a vacation！ The house is build in a jungle which is as described. BUT, internal facility and environment is much better than the pictures showed！
It is a pity we only stayed two nights and we did not have time to say goodbye to Jeremia and his mother.
Highly recommend you to stay in this house.
Jeremiah and his mom Mary did everything possible to make our stay in the already lovely apartment even better. They are knowledgeable, thoutful, and friendly. The apartment is a bit off the beaten track in lush surroundings yet fairly close to the town of Haiku.
Very nice and cozy place. My mom and I enjoyed staying. We didn't meet Jeremiah, but we did meet his mom, Mary. She was very accommodating and helpful.
We loved staying at the Patio House in Haiku!
Jeremiah was great even before we arrived, making sure we knew the lay of the land and helping us plan our activities. Upon arrival his mother Mary greeted us late at night along with her amazing dog Woody. She also gave us some great advice for exploring the island and showed us around the rental.
The listing is exactly as pictured and described. If you want to be off the beaten path and away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts this rental is perfect! In a central location it's easy to get anywhere on the island and is the perfect starting point for the road to Hana.
We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Mary and Jeremiah!
While we did not actually meet Jeremiah, his mother was friendly, sweet, and immensely helpful in our getting to know the island. The photographs do not do the studio justice -- we found it quite spacious -- and the views are simply beautiful. The sound of the wind through the trees, the view of the sea across the tree tops, the short walk down to a private cove -- all made for a very relaxing, peaceful stay.
We were greeted by Mary, Jeremiah's mother, who was lovely and a great source of advice about activities and restaurants on the north side of the island. The property is a little out of the way, very much a 'country getaway' but also close enough to Paia that we got to explore the restaurants there easily. The location is ideally situated for those who'd like to explore the Road to Hana. The property, itself, is very comfortable and the deck has amazing views of the verdant coastline. The sound of the rain on the palm trees at night, alone, made me thankful we had chosen this AirBnB location for our Maui lodging! Also, definitely check out the rocky cove beach down the hill!
