I am an architect from the Big Apple, New York City. I am originally from a small city in Ohio, surrounded by endless rows of cows and corn. But, I have been living in Brooklyn for almost 6 years now and loving every moment of it.
Currently I am traveling, doing one of my favorite passions- bike touring. I love the freedom of travel, the chance to see the countryside and small towns you'd normally miss on train or plane, and to meet the locals and see how they live, and see the city they live in! My travels have taken me from Amsterdam, through Belgium to Paris, up to Normandy, into England to London, down to Basel and Zurich, up to Munich, over the Alps, and now I am somewhere in Italy, where I will end the trip in Rome (if all goes well)!
Last year I rode from my house in Ohio all the way to New Orleans, coming through places like Nashville, Memphis, and Jackson.. places home to some of my favorite music, folk, blues, jazz, early americana, etc. I met some amazing people through sites like airbnb, and hope to continue this!
I would consider myself a good guest (but who wouldn't?). I travel light (besides the bike), and am respectful of everyone's space and items in the house. I like going out late, but also like waking up early, so can easily adapt to the living styles of those in the house. I like beer, and if you do too, then we should get one together. I really really enjoy learning about others and how they live so I will probably ask you a lot of questions, so I hope that's ok.
