I am a small business owner who travels several days a month.
Staying in Soho was perfect for our trip and Amy's apartment is really close to the Spring St Subway (a,e,c), great coffee (Ground Support on W Broadway) and iconic Soho shopping. Check in and check out was really smooth and Marlon was very accommodating when our flight was delayed a couple of hours. Communication with both Marlon and Amy was easy. The apartment itself is small and there's no door on the bedroom, however, we had no issues with the size for two people. The stove wasn't working which was slightly disappointing as we were told it would be replaced prior to our stay. With no stove, no microwave, no electric kettle and no toaster it made it hard to prepare any food or hot drinks of our own and meant we had to buy every meal out.
All up we had a great stay and if you're looking for a cheap alternative, I would recommend Amy's apartment.
We were only able to meet the property manger as the owner was out of town
But he was very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The only thing I wish different was that the stove worked but due to construction the gas was shut off :(
Amy, everything was great, thank you!
On arrival we were welcomed by Marlon who then proceeded to carry our suitcases up the stairs - a very welcome gesture. The apartment itself is in an old building in a great area in the heart of Soho. from here we were able to access all the attractions with ease.
Amy's apartment is in a fantastic location in Soho (very close to the subway and to the ever popular home of the cronut as well). Plenty of space for one person, clean and simply furnished. The unit does not get much street noise, which is a real bonus in that area! Her building manager was very accommodating of a error in communication on my side regarding arrival times - which I very much appreciated upon landing at 2 AM - and thankfully he also helped lug my suitcase up the stairs.
Modest apartment but clean and in a great location. We had very positive interactions with the property manager as well as with Amy.
During our stay we felt very comfortable in the apartment. The location is in SoHo is perfect for many reasons, close to subway, shopping in Spring/Prince/Broadway/..., walking distance to Financial District, Brooklyn Bridge, Greenwich, Hudson River, and many more!
Fantastic Greek bakery - PI Bakery - with nice seating for breakfast in Broome Street!
Booking and communication with Amy and Marlon, the property manager, was exceptional. Marlon was very helpful and flexible with check-in/check-out.
Apartment was as described. During our stay outside temparature dropped from 73°F to 40°F but the steam pipes kept the apartment warm and cosy.
Internet worked very well.
We consider to stay there again if available for our next visit to NY.
We had an extremely enjoyable stay at Amy's apartment. The apartment is perfectly located in Soho with ready access to all of the restaurants and bars as will being convenient to the subway. Amy was extremely responsive with queries prior to our stay and the apartment was exactly as described. Our host Marlon was extremely helpful during our stay, organising check-in and check-out - even being available late one night when our key broke and we were left stranded outside. For anyone looking to enjoy all NY has to offer - I would thoroughly recommend Amy's place.
The location was great! Fine restaurants, great shopping right at your front door and the subway 1 - 1/2 locks away. We were met at the front door by the host representative and the check in was seamless. Amy called to make sure everything was ok. The building is very old and the apartment could use updating, however I have stayed in New York City many times before and have paid a lot more for a lot worse accommodation in there so called 4 stars hotels in Manhattan.
If you only plan to
My boyfriend and I had a great ten night stay at Amy's apartment. The location was absolutely perfect for us! A number of subway stations within a short walking distance, including the A, C and E trains right at the end of the street. We also loved exploring Manhattan on foot and found it easy to walk to Greenwich Village, West Village, Chelsea, Little Italy and East Village.
The kitchen amenities in apartment are fairly basic, however fine if you don't plan on doing much/any cooking during your stay. Also, it's important to note that it definitely is a small bed, particularly when sharing with a partner. My boyfriend's feet just hung over the end and we found the mattress a bit too soft for our liking.
Thanks for a great stay!
Hi Elise, we loved having you. Thank you for the feedback - I will look into the Bed!
Amy was very communicative and very friendly. Easy to host, barely even knew she was here.
I would like to thank Amy for staying at my property. The booking and communication went smooth and clean. She responded quickly to all questions. I would definitely rent to Amy again.
Thank you, Kathy. You were a great guest and welcome back any time.
Amy was great - very friendly, easygoing and respectful. She left everything in perfect condition and I would definitely welcome her back into my home.
Amy was awesome and I love her business too! Would be happy to have her back any time.
Amy was pleasure to host. She communicated well regarding important aspects of her travel plans and conscientious and easy going. Although we never met in-person all of her communications were friendly. We'd welcome her back again anytime.
Amy had a short stay and everything went smoothly.
