I'm a professional who enjoys travel and understands how much nicer it is to go abroad and stay in a real home. I've had great experiences with Airbnb in the past and always end up liking the people I have met through the site.

Merci James
Jim was a great host, even though we didn't meet him since he was out of the country. We were met by Solomon who was super helpful. He showed up shortly after we arrived and gave us the grand tour along with recommendations of his favorite spots for pizza and bagels. He even had some spare baseball tickets to offer us but we had already booked a show that night.
The apartment was just like the pictures posted. Not as spotless as a hotel but I'd compare it to staying at a friend's house!! Clean sheets and towels and that's really what mattered.
Good location, subway is about 5 blocks away. Tons of restaurants and pubs around if you don't want to venture too far for dinner and drinks.
We used the bbq one night and it was great.
Would definitely recommend, and feel free to message me for more info if needed!
We had a great time in Jim's apartment, and would recommend it to everyone. The apartment is ideally located on the upper east side - close to the subway (less than a 10 minute walk), supermarkets/convenience stores, lots of great restaurants and shops for both me (Liquor stores, Best Buy) and my wife (Sephora, Victoria's Secret). Staying at Jim's place made us feel as if we were proper residents of the neighbourhood as the apartment -complete with wifi and endless TV channels- was so comfortable, and upon arrival we were provided with a plethora of recommendations on how to maximise our experience with the local eateries. The well-tended backyard (complete with barbecue) was an extra special addition to our holiday.
Jim was very quick to respond back to me and help me with a day of reservation. HIs place is in a quiet part of the city, but there is plenty of restaurants, markets and bars near by. The backyard was amazing, I was able to BBQ and he had a hammock to lay in. overall great place to stay.
James hosted us back in July, and he was a wonderful host in terms of both his rapid responses and his checking on us from time to time during our stay. He was extremely punctual and helpful. We stayed in his place for about 5 days, and we enjoyed every aspect of it: the building was very safe, the house was spacious and clean, the yard was so wonderful in the evenings that we hardly ever went out at night, and the location was extremely convenient. I will recommend his place to every friend of mine, as the first option in New York.
Wonderful host, accommodating, checked in with us periodically to see how we were and if we needed anything, even hooked us up with wi-fi. The apartment was small but exactly as advertised and as we imagined a NYC apt would be. What sells the apt other than the lovely location (5 blocks from west central park, 2 blocks from Hudson river and metro) is James' amazing backyard ...an actual urban legend in NY! We were rarely home but to sleep so the fact that my newly married husband and I had to sleep inches away from his mother, it worked. It was our first visit to manhattan and wanted the real New Yorker experience, and we were not disappointed. Thank you James for opening your home to us and the sweet review. Hope we cared well enough for your gorgeous well loved plants and flowers. We hAve great photos of the backyard if you would like them for your ad.
Thank you James for being an accommodating host. We had the entire studio to ourselves. There are plenty of room to store our luggages. We requested several items when we arrived and James brought us an air mattress, cooking utensils & even extra towels! There's no wi-fi, but if you have a smartphone that shouldn't be an issue. The place is located on a fancy neighborhood & a walking distance to museums, restaurants, subway, the Central park & our favorite yoga place. I would go back & stay at James' place again.
The three of us spent a wonderful weekend at James' apartment in mid February. Even though it was a last minute booking, everything was ready for us and James was very flexible with the check-in and check out time. The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos and is in a great location, easy walking distance to the subway and close to plenty of bars and restaurants. We felt very comfortable and safe, and are looking forward to our next visit!
James was a very nice and friendly guest. Hope to have him here again.
