Jane was an awesome host and the room beautiful. I enjoyed the lovely home as well as the incredible view of Boise.
I had a great weekend in Boise. Jane and Don are truly fantastic hosts. I really enjoyed them. The space is so comfortable and inviting. Jane made me feel so at home that I almost forgot I had to leave. She was so thoughtful and asked before my arrival if I had any breakfast requests. The views are truly amazing and there are hiking/ biking trails right in the neighborhood. I can't wait to come back. Another Airbnb home run.
Jane was a great hostess! Her house is beautiful, and the room was extremely comfortable. I got in SUPER late, but she had everything set for me. Breakfast, coffee, and conversation in the morning. Lovely! :)
Wow, what a great experience! Jane was a fantastic host! I had been traveling for over a week, and this room provided a perfect place to relax. It is completely gorgeous, and the bed is so comfortable. Breakfast was phenomenal - complete with fresh squeezed orange juice - and I spent the whole morning chatting with Jane. I was able to wash a load of laundry which was much appreciated! I would absolutely recommend staying with Jane in her gorgeous home!
Our experience with Jane was nothing short of amazing amazing. I just wish we could have spent more time with her!! She accepted our request to stay late in the evening, and we got in very late to a warm and cozy bed, after a very long drive. We woke up in the morning to an extensive breakfast spread. She went above and beyond to make our short stop-through wonderful. Her home is beautiful, and her hospitality is sensational. I'd go back to Boise for just to see her! Love you Jane!
Wow! Where to start? I had an amazing time with Don and Jane. I’ve been zigzagging my way across the US with an ultimate destination of Southern California and I have to admit I was airbnb stalking this particular stay. After reading all their wonderful reviews and seeing the great pictures that so accurately depict the extremely comfortable bedroom and home, I knew I was making a stop in Boise even if it did not exactly coincide with my travel plans. Luckily, it worked out perfectly for travel purposes while weather could have been better. The home is wonderfully decorated and no detail was left behind in my bedroom and bathroom. Jane had resided in Carmel, California for over twenty years and their home reflects the influences of Carmel in every way with crisp white as the primary palette color and blue and neutral accents sprinkled throughout. Jane is a ball of fire and an artist in the kitchen. Her passion for food and creations of meals is like that of a chef. Of course, my love of eating complimented her passions and we were fast friends. Her breakfast is beyond delicious and hardy. She has as much fun setting her table as she does creating and preparing her meals. It was fun to be the kitchen while the magic was happening. The weather forecast was calling mostly rain for the following day so I decided to extend my stay which was an easy decision. I received a message from Jane while on the road into Boise the first day asking if I like to eat with her and Don that evening. I messaged back immediately to say yes and I would pay whatever it cost because the convenience of traveling all day and arriving to a hot wonderful meal was worth it. The meal did not disappoint and neither did the company. We ate outside on the back porch at dusk as the lights of Boise began to twinkle. So relaxing and enjoyable in every way. I had dinner both evenings with Don and Jane and I had to sneak money to them in a card I left behind. I wanted to make sure I compensated them for the amazing meals without offending the chef. Jane loves to entertain and certainly has the gift of hospitality and Don is her loving support system who is happy when Jane is happy doing her thing of entertaining. If Boise is on your radar for whatever reason this is the place you want to stay. I promise that you will walk away with new friends and a wonderful experience.
My husband and I were in Boise for the night en route to Hood River and found this place online at a good price. The house is situated up on a hill with marvelous views overlooking the valley. When we arrived Jane and Don were headed out to dinner and we asked about restaurants in town. We quickly decided that we should all cook together and catch a little bit of the Seahawks vs 49ers game. We picked up some steaks at the market and Jane was already whipping up a gorgeous salad and preparing veggies for the grill. Needless to say-- we had a lovely dinner on the porch, drank wine, and enjoyed each other's company. After dinner, Jane refused any help clearing / cleaning dishes and my Husband and I got to witness an incredible lightning storm from the couch on the covered porch. We retired around 12:30 and being 5 months pregnant with twins, can honestly say that the bed was the most comfortable one I've slept on and had a near perfect night sleep. We woke up to the smell of delicious bacon cooking, took showers and were greeted with gourmet coffee and place settings on the porch. Jane and I had talked about our love of the Barefoot Contessa (Chef on the Food Network), and she pulled up all the stops on a beautiful breakfast spread. We were salivating over scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, toast and an oven pancake. We got back on the road after breakfast. This was a marvelous gem of a find in Boise, Jane and Don were fantastic hosts, and fun people to spend an evening with. I would highly, highly recommend this place! One other thing worth noting, because the pictures can't capture everything... The house, decorations and furnishings all look like they're straight out of a William Sonoma Catalogue. You just can't beat this type of beautiful ambiance and gracious company.
We had an incredibly great stay at this beautiful house. The only regret is that we did not have enough time to enjoy the beautiful views of the city. Jane proved to be a most welcoming and accommodating hostess--her breakfast was fab as was the conversation. Jane's home is impeccably clean, very spacious and well decorated; the views are unbelievable! Highly recommended and will very gladly revisit.
Jane and Don provided a majestic escape form the chaos of daily life. Nestled up in the hills and surrounded by panoramic views I felt as if I had transcended to heaven. Jane had every little design touch and amenity laid out perfectly, all of the little touches that bring you to visual as well as relaxation bliss. I felt as if I were staying in my own private resort. The property is exquisitely decorated, yet it still manages to feel homey and welcoming. I was even inspired to rearrange my place a bit after returning home so that it would have some of those signature "Jane design touches" I had grown so fond of on my trip.
There is lots of wild life to be seen when you step out the door, quail and deer were what I encountered on my stay and the hiking trail at the top of of the hill is like ascending to the top of the world.
Jane and Don were so attentive to my needs and often checking in to see if I needed anything to make my trip more special and comfortable. I greatly enjoyed hanging out with them, they are both so sweet and hip and they also gave me space when I needed to work or just rest and relax.
Thank you Jane and Don for an unforgettable stay!
Epic hospitality! If you have the opportunity and pleasure to stay with two of our new good friends, DO NOT PASS IT UP! The fun and laughs we shared are priceless. The home is in a perfect setting on top of the hills overlooking Boise and the accommodations were nothing short of spectacular. Jane and Don... Thank you for being our highlight of Idaho!!! The adoption papers are in route! (for funny)
