A top-notch airbnb experience staying with Linda, a gracious host who went out of her way to make us comfortable. The room was cozy, the house a warm and pleasant place to spend between-time, and the neighborhood quiet and well-located (my eight-year-old and I especially appreciated the park and playground just one house over). The cats were polite (i.e., undemanding) and clean. We had some great conversations with Linda about a wide range of topics and wished we could have spent more time getting to know her and her S.O. Highly recommended!
Linda was a great host, we carried very interesting conversations throughout my stay. I enjoyed Linda's company and would love to catch up again some time!
I enjoyed my stay at Linda's house, in a lovely quiet suburb of Washington. She made me feel at home, and the cats too! I could enjoy the sun on the terrace at the back and reIax. The strong futton bed was good for my back. I had no trouble walking to the metro everyday, and access downtown area except during the WE due to some delays in metro system.
I recommend warmly Linda's for anyone looking for a quiet place.
I enjoyed my stay with Linda, and even extended it while I was there. She is very friendly, the house is just like the pictures, and tidy. The cats are friendly as well. I should add the amazing soup she cooked and shared as well. Oh and the morning coffee was excellent :)
Great experience at Linda's place in Kensington! I had emailed about a handful of airbnb rooms/apartments around 2:00 am and we need the room the next night. Linda responded to me very quickly and we were able to book the room via emails while driving down from NYC (oh, smart phones!). She was very friendly and welcoming and gave us pointers regarding Kensington, Chesapeake Bay area and DC. The room was comfortable and clean with a bohemian feel to it. We had all the ammenities necessary, and were even able to do laundry!
The house was located about 10-15 minutes (walking) from a metro stop which gets you to DC in 30 minutes. It is on a quiet and quaint street that has bunnies hopping around the neighbors' front lawns. Kensington is so green and in a great location to explore both DC, Baltimore and Chesapeake Bay. I would definitely stay at Linda's again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. Plus, her kitties were adorable :)
I didn't get the chance to stay at Linda's since I had a last-minute schedule change. What I DID appreciate was her willingness to accomodate my last-minute request, a slightly early check-in which would have allowed me the opportunity to nap & shower between a sound-check and a performance at Strathmore. So, to anyone out there who will be performing or attending a performance at Strathmore, her place is very close by and much more affordable than the hotels!
Hey Linda!!! It was very nice to meet you.
An amazing guest and person. She and Lisa are a lot of fun and really wonderful and respectful. It was a pleasure to host them!
