Whitney is awesome and her apartment is fantastic. My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much!
Whitney was great to deal with. The location was incredible. Nice cat too :)
Great location. Very comfortable. Everything as described. Whitney was extremely responsive. Thanks for a great stay!
The apartment was clean and comfortable. It was on a nice quiet street, yet only a block away from plenty of great shops & restaurants, and a subways stop into Manhattan. Whitney was great with communication, and her cat Indy was very mellow. All in all, a great first Airbnb experience!
If you're going to Marfa and looking for a unique little home-away-from-home, this is the place to stay. The house has a great vibe, and Indy the cat is the sweetest host! The house has just about everything you could want in a getaway property including kitchenware, a bicycle, an acoustic guitar, an internet-enabled TV complete with Netflix and even a pretty extensive library! I would definitely recommend this property! The owner is very informative and provided lots of information to make our trip even more enjoyable! 5 STARS!
We spent 4 days at Whitney´s place in Marfa and really enjoyed our time in her lovely and tastefully furnished little house! Her cat Indy was a nice flatmate and the veranda outside was very nice to hang out. Actually Marfa is a small town and so all the interesting places like the Chinati foundation are close by. Whitney also has Netflix at her house - kind of films-on-demand channel with hundreds of interesting movies and documentaries which is fun. It was very easy to communicate with Whintey for key appointmens ect. - so we recommend her place in case you want to come to Marfa!
Marfa is relatively small, but this far west locale was one I had never haunted in my many travels out here. Whitney's place is a hidden gem, an easy mile by bike or foot into the center of town, and 3 blocks from the Miniature Rooster and El Cheapo liquors. The casita is cozy and quiet -- even with several nearby neighbors and the frequent trains that barrel through. The wireless was a blessing, as were the multiple radios (KRTS!) and iPod docking stations throughout the house. Plenty of books on the many shelves to peruse, too. And Indy the Cat is a story in her own right! What a great gato. As a host, Whitney was always on-the-spot in responding to messages, and left great instructions. I've stayed in other airbnb properties, and this one has to rank at the top -- not just for quality of the accommodations, but the price, too. A rare mix of isolation and convenience in a special place.
