My name is Selma, I am a soon to be 28 year-old living in Malmö, Sweden. I love my city. I have been living here for 9 years and I am almost sure that this is where I'll stay (I guess love would be the only thing that could steel me away to some other part och the earth). I was born in Bosnia, but have been living almost my whole life in Sweden. I studied political science at University and today I work as a project manager for a youth organization with issues concerning anti-racism and human rights. All human beings equal right to a worthy and beautiful life is my biggest drive and I have decided to spend my life trying to make the world a better place for all. It is a tough and overwhelming mission, but one step at the time!
I love to travel. In a way living in Malmö is to travel, since the city has approximately 176 nationalities living here. But there is nothing that gives one a perspective on life, the world and one self as travelling. During my travels I have enjoyed the sun in Croatia, seen the moon from a different angel in Rwanda, been vintage shopping in Brooklyn and enjoyed a meditative moment outside a mosque in Istanbul. My goal while travelling is to find home away from home in all the places that I visit. To learn about the history of the world, how we all are connected and to eat new and delicious foods.
I have just discovered Airbnb and love the concept of people helping people to see their parts of the world. I have not yet started to rent my own flat, since I am planning to move to a bigger one this spring, but will surely do that eventually.
I hope that you feel comfortable and secure with me as a guest in your home and I will do what I can to respect our arrangement.
