The spacious guest house was in a quiet neighbourhood with stores a short drive away. Free street parking, fully equipped kitchen, fast wi-fi, and cable TV were a plus!
Great location! We were never more than 20 minutes away from where we needed to be even in rush hour traffic.
Our absolute FAVORITE place to go for coffee each morning was Aroma Coffee and Tea which is just down Tujunga in Studio City.
We had a great stay at the Gustavo and Solange's guesthouse. It was a nice size, with a big separate bedroom and a very comfortable futon in the living room. The kitchen was very convenient. Everything was very clean.
The house is in the pretty backyard, so it is nice and quiet, and we never had trouble finding parking.
Their place is very well located for sights in North Hollywood, and not that far from a metro stop (red line). We also loved eating at Healthyca (a few blocks away) and the tamales sold in front of the metro station were excellent.
This was a nice little guesthouse. Gustavo was readily available and answered the few questions that did come up. The location was great! Very close to Universal Studios and Hollywood Blvd. The stay was great!
Our hosts were very accomodating and attentive. The neighborhood was pleasant.
I really enjoyed the stay. Very calm and confortable. Safe. Starbucks @ 2 min. walk. Easy parking. Fast wifi. Close to Universal and studios. I will recommand *****
I rented this for my aunt and godmother so i'm writing on their behalf. They had a fantastic time staying here. They used the sofa bed which was apparently extremely comfy. They were a little cold the first night so the hosts provided heaters which was perfect. I noticed there's a new looking AC unit too for the summer. The guest house was very clean, convenient walk to Starbucks and a Noho park and easy drive to local supermarkets. It was great to have the kitchen so they could dine at home rather than eat out the whole time, the only thing i can think to add is it doesn't catch too much sunlight. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They even said they'd watch out for my aunt's car on street cleaning days (Thurs and Fri monrings). There's your own entrance to the guest house which is great. The owner has two dogs which my aunt said were beautiful and no bother. They rarely crossed paths with them. It was great and i would recommend it to family and friends visiting again.
My stay with Solange and Gustavo was quite nice, with a homey feel. The location had easy access to NoHo and Los Angeles. I enjoyed the Riverside Drive area and was able to visit my favorite sushi restaurant that will be closing soon. Visit Bob’s Big Boy for vintage style dining. I was able to squeeze in a visit to the Falcon Theatre just down the street – Garry Marshall (Happy Days) is the founder. The vintage shops on Magnolia Blvd are worth the effort- just a quick drive from the house. And Starbucks is a five minute walk.
The back house was very nice and roomy and the beer was greatly appreciated after a long day at AFM and AFI. The street was dark at night but the house has motion detectors and is well lit. I was traveling solo and felt very safe night and day. There is plenty of parking if you rent a car and the Metro is close by.
This is a great place if you want something quiet and comfy.
Thank you for sharing your home.
Thank you for letting us stay with you! Great location and easy parking. We loved that we had a kitchen so we didn't have to eat out all of the time. Will definitely look up for future visits!
