I am a writer and museum exhibit developer. I live with my partner Juliet and our son Finn in the beautiful Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis.
We stayed six nights with Rachel, the accommodation and location exceeded expectations, it was wonderful. The hosts made the stay all the better. We would strongly recommend this location when visiting the twin cities and have no hesitation in staying their again when we next visit.

Great location for our visit to the State Fair. The apartment was spacious, quiet, and artfully decorated. Street parking was easy, and the neighborhood felt safe and friendly. The food co-op was nearby, along with some good restaurants.
My husband felt the mattress was too firm for his liking, but I was ok with it. And the weather got pretty hot while we were there, so it took a while for the bedroom to cool down at the end of the day (we should have left the window AC unit on in the morning!).
I would stay here again.
Rachel is a terrific hostess, very welcoming and responsive. Her recommendations for restaurants were up-to-date and outstanding. The apartment is spacious and well-appointed, with nice kitchen amenities. The location is easy walking distance to restaurants, food co-op, and bus routes. The area is eminently walkable. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.
We had a great time staying here. Quiet, great location, roomy and comfortable. I highly recommend it!
Loved this apartment! The house was beautiful and peaceful. The amenities were great! The neighborhood is fun with lots of great places within walking distance.
Rachel's place was great. A block from the co-op and great coffee, and right off the river road, which was a great way to get around town. Great to have a kitchen available when needed. Would go back for sure.
I would definitely recommend Rachel's place to any single or couple (or mother and daughter, as we were). The apartment gives a very serene feeling and we were not bothered by any outside noise. (Of course, we arrived during a heat wave and the bedroom air conditioner and fans blocked some out.) The neighborhood is walkable (Seward Coop, a block away, has nice breakfast food and coffee available starting at 8 am), friendly, and it's fun to see all the gardens. The bed was quite comfortable, shower was nice and I liked that the apartment was very eco-friendly, including the two-level flush, compost bucket under the sink, and recycling. We were returning Minneapolitans so didn't need a lot of advice but it was available if needed. Rachel and Juliet and their son were gracious hosts. I could even see this as a honeymoon suite.
Rachel offered a lovely apartment in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis. We enjoyed exploring the neighborhood with some great suggestions from the hosts and took advantage of the plethora of bike paths accessible from here. Overall it was a wonderful experience in a cozy little pocket of Minneapolis.
This is a lovely place to stay while visiting the twin cities. There is so much room, we were very comfortable. Our hosts and the neighborhood are so peaceful and quiet it is a joy. It just couldn't be better. p.s. also loved the Coop up the street.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Rachel and Juliet's. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous and very spacious, providing more than everything we needed. The neighborhood is quiet and green but also near to the university and the river and public transit.
Rachel arranged for her mother to stay with us for a couple of nights this past week. Not only was her mother a lovely and interesting house guest, but working with Rachel to arrange the stay was a breeze. Thanks, Rachel!
