I have lived in this area since 1992. I grew up in Colorado. Moved out to the Pacific Northwest to be near the Columbia River Gorge. For fun I spend a lot of time adventuring in the outdoors and building things.

This was my husband and I's first experience with airbnb so we weren't quite sure what to expect, but our stay at Kenny's place was absolutely wonderful. The house was beautiful and the neighborhood was near plenty of great hiking trails and scenic spots. It was also a relatively quick drive into Portland without being in the hustle and bustle of the city. Our party of six felt really comfortable staying here.
Kenny was a great host and was able to inform us about all the cool local spots. Any time we had a question about the house or where something was located he was incredibly quick to respond and help us out.
Next time we travel up to the Portland area we definitely plan on staying here again.
We enjoyed Kenny's lovely home. The house is located in a small town in WA where Portland is about 15 minutes from the house. Kenny was so nice with us as he hosted us in his house and he provided to us all what needed like the fire wood. We really enjoyed our staying and we definitely will come back again to his lovely house. Please do not expect a new or a modern house as the house was built in 1900s, but it will maintained by the host.
The house was great and Kenny was very accommodating. Lots of space for the 6 of us, and plenty of kitchen tools to prepare our New Year's Eve dinner. Great airbnb experience!
Kenny was a really helpful host. And the house was really spacious enough to host us. Though it was winter, the house maintained warmth as it was well insulated.
Our family of five spent about a week at Kenny's as we waited to take possession of our home in Camas--the town next to Washougal. After a cross-country drive where the kids hadn't slept in same bed two nights in a row, it was a wonderful, homey respite. House has a nice front room w sectional for chilling w TV. The eat-in kitchen has a booth and separate table where we played cards or the kids worked on art projects. We could control temp in each separate room, which was nice. The yard is great, with a huge tree and swing. All our interactions with Kenny were friendly and comfortable. Our middle son spent a couple afternoons watching and "helping" him do some work in the garage. All bedrooms are spacious even with queen beds or bigger. Was a great time for us.
This was our first Airbnb experience, so we weren't sure what to expect. Kenny's house has a very homey feel. I would definitely recommend staying at Kenny's place if you're looking for a large space, outside the hustle and bustle of Portland proper.
Everything was clear & simple, communication-wise. Hospitable and thoughtful and super unique space. Tree swing a plus!
Kenny was really nice to me and helped me out when I ran into some problems. I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. Will definitely stay at his place in the future thank you so much!!
Gorgeous rustic tiny house! It felt homey and we even had room to do some yoga inside! Sadly we never got to meet Kenny but he was on top of communication and made everything easy for us!
We made a last minute reservation at Kenny's "Tiny House" when my partner and I needed accommodations for two nights during a weekend stay in Portland. We originally were going to try and sleep 4 folks here: myself, my partner Russell, his grown daughter & her best friend Sara. As musicians, we had travelled to Portland from various locations (Russell & I from Whidbey WA, Emilie from Austin TX, and Sara from Quebec, Canada) to meet up for two nights gigging at Al's Den at the Crystal Hotel in downtown Portland. And being musican, of course we needed to keep the costs down! The girls found accommodations in town with fellow musicians, which was a blessing in many ways. Being youn uns', they could make the scene there in town, since the Tiny House is in the 'burbs-- and the Tiny House is just that: TINY. But it was perfect for my & Russell's needs. Whimsical, artistic and comfy, the cottage was a great getaway for us! Russell & I can totally relate with Kenny's "smaller is better" philosophy. We have our "Purple Cottage Studio" on airbnb: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/656940
which is a comparable accommodation in size & with shared bathroom use. Though small, the layout is very nice at the Tiny House --a functional & stocked little kitchen with gas stove & mini fridge, a pull-down Murphy bed (very comfortable!) and a sweet outdoor shower that will make you feel like you are camping in the woods, even if it is only an illusion!
We loved visting with Kenny --he was welcoming, friendly & gave some good tips about our surrounding area and what to see in around the 'hood. The property is located just a few blocks from the river, and it was nice to take a walk and enjoy!
Be prepaired for a "Glamping" getaway, and you will not be dissapointed!
