Debbie et Al ont été très accueillants. Ils ont une très belle maison. Notre fils de 14mois a très apprécié la présence des poules et des chats dans le jardin ainsi que la chienne, très gentille!
We had a great time staying at the Log House. Debbie and Al were very friendly and welcoming. The log house made the experience more special with "real" fire place and tranquil surroundings. We especially enjoyed having breakfast in their beautiful garden with cats and Jessie the dog. It is also conveniently located to experience both the rural Ireland and the city (Galway). A car is a must-have to get around. Highly recommended!!
Debbie and Al were very friendly and welcoming, they are really lovely people. They made us feel like at home. They have a fantastic house made of wood, a dog and four cats, the room where we stayed was very comfortable with a big bed and very nice decorated. Every morning they prepared a nice healthy breakfast and they also gave us good advice about what to visit in the region. They even prepared some maps for (website hidden) was a fantastic experience to share four days with Al and Debbie.
L' Al I la Debbie són unes persones excepcionals I extraordinàriament càlides I acollidores. La seva casa és fantà stica I està ubicada en un indret fabulós. Passar uns dies amb ells ha estat una magnífica experiència.
It was great to stay at Debbie's home, all was perfect, quiet, (very) clean, good bed and bedroom, bathroom... and so nice people. Lovely chat in the morning while we were having breakfast. No rush, nothing bad to point out, really. Maybe just one thing, yes, the weekend was too short but Debbie can't help much on that, unfortunately :)
We were arriving a little bit late as we went to Cliffs of Moher on our way but Debbie was very kind to tell us to take our time. She responded promptly to our updates.
The town was quite small and not much to see. However the log house is a special feature by itself, and is one of a kind. The pictures did not do it justice, really, as the magic can only be felt if you were actually there.
If you love pets, this is a good place for you to stay. They have a few cats and a lovely pet dog that was very excited to see us coming. Rub her back and she will be your best friend throughout your entire stay.
Debbie and her husband were really friendly and we had a very good time staying there, thanks to their hospitality and warmth. We would recommend this listing to anyone who was up for a unique experience in a quite and peaceful location.
Debbie and her husband were wonderfull hosts, and made us feel right at home. And o we had so many laughs, haha what fun is this family! We talked about many subjects, sometimes real serious conversation. Wonderfull.
The log house is fabulous, hard too find, but when found the prize for the effort is great.

The listing was accurate and the location was perfect
The home had the perfect balance of near the city but the peace and quiet of the countryside
The room was clean and comfortable with a very effective room darkening curtain. The water pressure in the shower was awesome. They were helpful with random items (like a fan) and were very gracious.
Thanks Albert & Debbie for a very relaxing few days. Lovely house, very peaceful and quiet, lovely surroundings. We were made to feel welcome and at home - just what we needed! Thanks very much.
Lot of room and a very cozy bed! Breakfast was awesome, only wished we could have stayed longer!
We have stayed at the Log House twice and very impressed at the house and the area. Our first visit was in the worst winter to hit the area for decades, December 2010. The warmth of the people we met and the magic of the house in -16 degrees made it a fabulous weekend.
We returned to the Emerald Isle in August 2011, to find the summer sun bathing the rocking chairs in bright but dappled rays from the surrounding woodland. A day spent in vibrant Galway City and an evening tour/walk around the Bay was delightful, we will undoubtably return many times.
I was even converted to soup making while visiting and now recycle my dorset vegetables into nourishing autumn broths.
We can fully endorse a visit to Al and Debbie's home.
We have stayed at Al & Debbie's many times. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The house is very big, there's loads of room for loads of people. It's really quiet and relaxing, just the birds singing. The house is just a few minutes from the village of Craughwell where there are three pubs. Robert, the landlord from Cheevers came and picked us up and dropped us back at the end of the night. It just took a phone call and we didn't have to worry about a cab. Thats the thing - the people are just so friendly and will go that extra mile to help you out. We went to Galway city several times, its very close - probably a 15 minute drive. Galway is a great place, fantastic shops, great pubs and restaurants and theres even a TK Maxx!! On a sunny day theres no better place to be than Salthill with the fabulous sandy beach and a drive along the coast road is absolutely breathtaking with the views. The house is a great base for travelling around and discovering what Galway and the surrounding areas have to offer. Next time we want to be there for the Galway races. I would definitely recommend Al & Debbie's place.
