I live in this apartment with my 6 yr old son and as can be seen from the photos we are quite a creative pair.
Although we didn' met John in person, his friend Ben was there to greet us when we arrived at the flat. It looked exactly like pictured and in a whole we had a great stay. From King's Cross there is an easy connection directly to Heathrow or other important and interesting place in the city of London.
For those who want to cook at home: A Tesco Metro is only a 5-minute-walk away, as well as some breakfast/lunch opportunities. The neighbourhood is very quiet during the night, but the waste collectors arrive far earlier than we are used to... :-)
Don't worry, if you forgot to ask for the W-LAN password., It is written on the router next to the big TV set. And if you get tired of watching telly or browsing the web - just pick one of John's marvelous books.
The reservation was canceled 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The flat is pleasant, functional and really well located.
John is a very friendly guy
A very good address to stay !
Well, John is a nice and friendly host and his partner/wife, she is also very warm. His son is so adorable. About the apartment, we were massively being let down as John did not organize the key for the lift. As his apartment sits on the top floor of the building, one can just imagine the difficulty of us family of 7, with 3 adults, 2 kids and 1 toddler age 4 and a baby of 1 year plus, struggled with our luggages and a pram to climb up to his apartment. That is not unforgivable im afraid. To be fair, he waited for us & helps us out to bring some of the luggages up and he gave a thorough introduction of the house, amenities, directions and so forth. The house itself is a mixed bag of a bohemian feel and some hit and miss but it is irrespective if you’re looking for a place to crash and stay for a few days. The heating doesn’t work for the first night, which I think is my fault of not knowing how to operate it even as John and his partner showed to me earlier on the (website hidden), sattelite and wifi works well. The location itself is amazing !!! I still can’t believe how quiet is the area, albeit being in the Zone 1 and literally 10 ish minutes from Kings Cross/St Pancras International !! The busses also literally a minute walk from his apartment. Kebab shops and takeaways is so very near. We enjoyed it apart from the lift thingy which is a big no for our next stay.
John's apartment was really ideal for us. Located near King's Cross Station, it was very convenient to get around London to do our sightseeing. He did his best to accommodate our needs and we appreciated that greatly as well. Overall, our stay at John's place contributed to making our trip in London an awesome one.
John's flat is in a great location and is very spacious. We felt right at home and had everything we needed. We'd definitely book again!
Our stay at John's apartment was awesome! Even though we arrived late due to a delayed flight, we were still welcomed very warmly by John's friend who showed introduced us to the flat. The location is great, just a five minute walk from King's Cross station. Would definitely go there again and can only recommend the place!
John is a great guy and has a lovely flat. Comfy, quiet and warm... and just two mins from the busy-ness of Kings Cross, which is perfect.
perfect location for a stay in the heart of London. Very suitable for children. identical to the photos, no surprises. I highly recommend it. and john is really (website hidden) cleanliness could be improved even if it is acceptable, as my wife says "it's a Cleanness of guy" :)
