Hospital pharmacist and seasoned solo traveler. Enjoy hiking and spending time in the outdoors as well as cultural (urban) sightseeing. I may be a little shy when I first meet my host(s).
Some of my favorite travel destinations are Rome, Chamonix, and Patagonia. I used to be an extreme budget traveler - backpacking or staying in hostels. As I've aged, I've upgraded my accommodations. I live in Utah for the snowboarding and ease of access to the mountains. I work evening shift at the hospital so I can snowboard or hike before work. I am NOT Mormon (or even religious) - a frequent question I am asked when traveling outside Utah. I am originally from Delaware but have lived all over the US including Hawaii.
I rarely watch TV or movies, so forgive me if I don't "get" those types of references. I eat mostly vegetarian + fish if I have a choice. Unfortunately, I only speak English (so far). I'm used to being by myself so don't feel obligated to entertain me when I stay in your accommodation.
If you happen to have an exercise or yoga mat you could lend me, that would be really great. I have a hip replacement, so it helps if I can do some stretches each day. It also would be awesome if I can store some juice in your refrigerator for breakfast.
I like Malcom Forbe's motto" As you grow old, don't slow down. Speed up! There's less time left".
