We stayed at Eddy's flat for 1 week in may 2014 (2 people). Even if it is small and basic, the flat is quite convenient, with everything - or so - you can look for by staying in a flat : tiny kitchen (with a very tiny fridge, 1 cooker, 2 forks, 3 spoons, 3 plates, 2 bowls...), tiny bathroom, futon bed, table, wifi...
The place is clean and in a very nice area (lots of tiny cute streets), where you will find everything you need (super markets, restaurants, nice shops...). Even if its a bit far from the station (8 mn walk), the route is pleasant in spring season.
And it is quite well located in Tokyo as well (with shibuya, shinjuku and ebisu accessible in a few minutes ride directly from Gakugeidaigaku station, and naka-meguro / daykanyama - very cool places - very close).
Eddy's place was cozy and very affordable for my long term stay. close to shibuya (good trasportation) and naka-meguro (hip places).
The reservation was canceled 16 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I enjoyed my month-long stay at Eddi's appartment in Janurary. The location is good, a healthy walk distance to the station, friendly and convenient neighborhood with all sorts of eateries and shops. Super market, fish and food shops, 7-11 and Daiso store are all on the way, very easy shopping if you cook for yourself. The appartment is as shown on photos, basic furnitures, fast wi-fi, well-supplied kitchen, very easy to live in. Communication with landlord is smooth. For arrival, it's important to follow his directions (I missed my station, got lost, big trouble to ask directioins on the road).
Eddy was easy to communicate with before and during our stay, and the place was easy to find if you follow his directions. It's the 5th stop (Gakugei-Daigaku) off the Tokyu Toyoko line from Shibuya, which also turns into the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin line in the other direction (believe me, it's very helpful to know that). The walk from the station is kind of a pain, about 7 minutes, but the area is nice; apparently Naka-Meguro (2 stops north) is one of the "up and coming"/more hip areas of Tokyo, too, according to some friends of mine. There's plenty of shops and whatnot around the station, the Tokyu grocery store right in front of the station is open late (maybe 24 hours?), too, which is very nice.
The apartment itself is pretty standard: tiny bathroom, mini kitchen and the bedroom area. There's a futon bed, couch and desk; the futon is a bit uncomfortable though (sinks in the middle for some reason) and the couch is probably too small for anyone over 5 ft if you wanted to sleep on it. As far as the kitchen goes, no microwave; just a mini-fridge, toaster and one burner to cook with. We stayed during late December and it was difficult to keep the room consistently warm; the AC unit points at the bed, but I guess the walls get really cold or there's a draft, b/c I always felt cold upon waking up. The internet works perfectly though, which is kind of a rare occurrence in Japan.
I've stayed in multiple locations/places in Tokyo over the years, lots of hostels and budget hotels. It's nice to have an actual apartment to stay in though, both for the option of cooking in and privacy/luggage security. The area is also a nice change of pace, especially from hostel-laden places like Asakusa, AKA "tourist central".
Good experience. Elli is available guy and precise
I really enjoyed my stay here. Elliot's apartment is very comfortable and in a quiet and charming Tokyo neighborhood that is also quite centrally located. Elliot is an easygoing and unobtrusive host, and I was happy to deal with him. Highly recommended!
Our friend Eddy is a really nice n talented guest, he also very polite. we hope to see him again and again in taipei!
he is polite and handsome
we chatted so much
he is one of our family
My wife and I are glad to have Eddy as our guest. We had dinner and talked a lot. We like to hear Eddy's performance experience and different culture thinking. Also, he kept our room clean and follow our rules. We are really happy to meet him.
He stayed again and as i said earlier, he's a nice guest!
Eddy is such an artist! I didnt even know that he was actually that cool. He's pretty cool as a guest and a very nice guy.
I didnt have any problem at all while hosting Eddy, he asked things that he need to know and that makes things went smoothly. Most importantly, he's clean and tidy :)
We hosted Eliott for 1 week. He's a nice and quiet person.
Eli and his band (6 people total) stayed with at my house for four nights after negotiating a reduced rate. I was away much of the time, I found them to all be pleasant, friendly and interesting people and I enjoyed hanging out with them.
My enthusiasm was diminished when I came home the morning after they left and found an assortment of trash, dirty dishes and a few other souvenirs (including unrefrigerated leftovers) distributed throughout my house.
Elliott and his girlfriend were excellent and fun guests to have around. Would definitely host again.
Great guest, pleasant, interesting and respectful. Would welcome anytime.
Oh, and thank you for the gift :):):):)
