The flat was exactly as described, nice and clean. Judit prepared for us towels, bed with bedclothes, bottle of wine and city maps, what was very helpful. WiFi was useful (website hidden) was working, so we could listen music from VIVA. We chose this flat also because of the garden behind the house as we have dogs. But it was a pity that we had no key to back door, so we couldn't walk dogs there. But there is really nice and big park about 10 min from the flat. Lot of shops (grocery, bakery, pharmacy, shop with fruits and vegetables, etc.) and pubs can be found in the neighborhood. There is also a CAT cafe, where you can have a coffee and cake and play with cats. In house is also functional elevator.
Thanks for the comments. I will take them into consideration:))
Even we didnt have chance meet Judit personaly we have been very satisfied. That Flat is near subway station and that was the most importent for us to get everywhere easy. All has run perfectly:) thanx Judit for our first experience with Airbnb:)
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Judith seemed very nice and responsive although her mother who didn't speak English met us and let us in.
The apartment was in a good enough area to get around the city. The apartment had many things that were totally unacceptable :both beds were hard and very uncomfortable. The pillows had to from the 1950's gross to put my head on. The smaller room had such an odor of mold I had to sleep on the couch in the living room, the place was not clean as there were balls of hair in many of the corners of the house. The doors to the outdoor areas had no handles on the outsides to close them. There were cleaning tools and supplies all over the place. The living room had no working lights. The place just smelled old. We should have left the minute we got there because this was the worst my husband and myself had ever stayed in. sorry Judith but really it needs a lot of work.
Le logement correspondait au descriptif et nous avons été bien accueillis par Judith. Le quartier est paisible et proche de tram et métro. Un bon rapport qualité/prix ! Un seul bémol, l'appartement est assez vétuste et pas super propre...
We were in Budapest for Easter and we are very pleased of Judit's apartment. It is located at a very convenient place which is just a few min away from the subway station and tram (althought the tram was under reconstruction). Nearby are a big mall and supermarket. Judit was very kind and friendly. She gave us helpful information about the city.
I would stay there again and recomend this host.
Thanks for your oppinion. I hope we will see each other again.
Excellent reception from Judit, she was there in the place where agreed before. Explaining everything from main building door to the last thing in the house.
Reservation- was so simple, safe and secure.
Recommend it to anyone who's looking for a relax, trouble free accomodation. And to be honest Judit's apartment and the beautifull city of Budapest are a match made in even but be aware, what you see in the pics is what you get. I like vintage style and got it all.
Thank you very much Judit.
Thanks for your words. I hope you will come back sometimes. I am happy that you like vintage style:))
see you again!
Judith was very helpful and everything went fine. The flat is very big an suits perfect for a family with two kids. The flat is really retro - everything is old like a grandmas flat, but we liked it.
Context: A traveling buddy and I stayed a few nights in Budapest a little after Christmastime.
We had a very nice stay in Budapest. Our hostess responded quickly to our messages. Judit's daughter met us at the apartment. We went to the wrong Vaci street at first (the one in the inner city, instead of the one in District XIII, where we ought to have been), so we arrived late to the apartment. Judit's daughter waited for us and kindly spent 30+ minutes telling us about places to visit and answering our questions. She even suggested and, at our request, arranged a taxi service to the airport for us, since our flight out of Budapest was very early in the morning.
We had the entire apartment to ourselves because it was the holiday season, which was very spacious for only two visitors. The kitchen area had everything we could have needed (refrigerator, stove, oven, coffee maker, etc.). I had not read in the description that the apartment functions as a language school, but Judit's daughter noted this when we arrived. The last full day we were in town was a work day, and we were a bit surprised when we came back to the apartment in the middle of the day and found two people working there. The office space is separate from the guest rooms, but it was still a bit awkward having the workers there.
The apartment was also a bit cluttered; there were a lot of papers and things left lying around. Also, all three beds are sofa beds, which I was not expecting.
The location was great; everything in the city was within walking distance. There were also some nice restaurants and bars nearby.
