I stayed in one of the two rooms on the first floor of the upper half of this house, next to me there were three other long term tenants staying on the second floor.
The room was very tide and well equipped, with a bed, small desk, chair, armchair and a cupboard.
Common areas as living and eating room were always kept clean, but not much used by me. The kitchen offers more than enough of space to prepare and cook whatever you want with all the cooking utensils you may need.
One small bathroom for up to 5 tenants is something to work out, but doesn't mean it can't be done.
A key is offered, so you can come in and go out as you please and fell safe at the same time.
All in all I can only recommend Susana as a very friendly and kind host, who takes good care of this house.
This is the top half of a duplexed 1920's detached house, just outside the commercial area of Framingham. I used the accomodations here while I (email hidden) gig nearby.
The central location is both convenient and quiet with adequate off-street parking (a combination that is often mutally exclusive). The neighborhood environs, though not particularly upscale, seem safe enough that I didn't worry much about walking around or car break-ins. Many of the nearby businesses cater to immigrants. A commuter rail stop, open-field park, and commercial shops are less than a mile away, so it is possible to get by without a car here.
The house has mechanical foibles commensurate with its age, so don't expect power outlets every 8 feet, large closets, locking interior doors, or a brightly lit spacious kitchen. The wood plank floors make their characteristic rumble when people walk about, not really that loud but the sound has no competition from anything else; there is no TV here. The most constraining shortcoming is the single smallish bathroom that must service up to 5 occupants. That is not as bad as it seems, since the other tenants appear work off-hour shifts; even so, I suggest packing a bathrobe so you can repair back to your room for personal hygiene chores, and I suspect anyone with small chilren in tow will find these constraints a hassle.
The common areas, including a living room and formal dining room, are tastefully furnished and kept quite tidy. Your friendly hostess is happy to let you use the common facilities and appliances so long as you are tidy about it yourself. The room itself was plenty spacious and had a decent complement of furniture. A towel and bed clothing were provided. Wi-Fi reception was good throughout.
In sum, I was quite pleased with the quietness, cleanliness, and convenient location of this property and would recommend it to anyone whose needs are consistent with what it can offer.
Susy (email hidden) with years of experience renting her rooms in a Victorian house always clean, neat and peaceful. I know Susy since she was born and I highly recommend her home for a nice and fun stay. You will enjoy her company, hospitality and vivacious spirit. The location is perfect for shopping, culture and to explore the beauty of the suburbs of Boston.
