Hello! Bonjour! Hola! Shalom!
I am an accounting clerk by day and a writer/producer by night. For as long as I can remember, I understood that everyone has a story--no matter if you have a particularly unsavory past, achieved an obvious success or living from paycheck to paycheck. And while we often place others into a stereotype, it has been my longstanding goal to see beyond the masks, to facilitate a catharsis of the norm--when helpful, when I remembered to take off my own mask.
Growing up, I loved taking road trips with my family. Seeing beyond my borders--perhaps a quaint thrill to some, but nonetheless meaningful for a sometimes static, even sheltered life. I was drawn to the City of Angels when afforded an opportunity to study Filmmaking at the University of Southern California. Given that I saw a tornado spinning in a field to my right on the way to my other film school choice, the choice was obvious. ;) So it seemed...
Though I studied about five years of French and have wanted to travel abroad since I was twelve, I never have had (or made) the chance. I truly want to travel the world...and I will. But in the mean time, I've discovered that the world descends upon Los Angeles for a variety of merits--material and intangible, sort of the end of the Yellow Brick Road to the American Dream. I've developed relationships with international, multicultural people from right where I am and enjoy AirBNB hosting as an extension of that.
I live with my sister Beth, but she is often traveling because of work. Regardless, any time you stay at our apartment, you will have the bedroom to yourself. Not to worry. :) I love serving my guests with care and making sure they are comfortable in every way. Sometimes I am busier than others and do not always have time to get to know each of my guests; but I want you to make yourself right at home.
I hope you enjoy a safe and life-affirming trip--wherever you choose to stay. As the great Jack Dawson said on Titanic, "Life is a gift. I don't intend to waste it." :) Cheers.
