Am from Nova Scotia and have lived in Halifax for the last 25 years. Know the area well and am happy to offer thoughts on what and where to go.
Dale's was the perfect place to relax after a red-eye from Calgary. Clean and spacious, and with an ultra-comfortable bed. All in a quiet neighborhood.
Dale was a perfect host. He wasn't home when we got in, but left clear instructions. Everything was ready for us. The accommodations were super; bed was comfortable, room had plenty of space, bathroom (shared) was spotless, and the patio was very pleasant. The area was ideal--close to the heart of the city, and the immediate area had great restaurants and other amenities. Dale was friendly and interesting and gave us great recommendations (he has a book prepared with all the info needed). Thank you, Dale, for the wonderful stay in Halifax. We would definitely visit again.
Dale's home is lovely. The bedroom is large and the queen bed is very comfortable, and Dale generously makes coffee in the morning. The Hydrostone area is interesting and it is a comfortable walk to downtown Halifax.
I enjoyed my 2 day stay at Dale's house. The house is aesthetic, the bedroom is spacious and clean, the bed comfortable. Dale was particularly pleasant and knowledgeable. Geographically, the house was well placed, steps from the bus stop and a short ride to the downtown area. Highly recommended.
I stayed at Dale's place during a recent trip to Canada for a wedding. His place was clean and very comfortable. Dale was very helpful with his suggestions of places to go and things to do nearby, especially the pizza place located on the next block! This was my first AirBnB experience and it was a good one.
Dale's home is accurately described and a great place to stay. It is located in an interesting neighborhood that a visitor to Halifax might not otherwise experience. The neighborhood offers a small number of wonderful shops (such as the pizzeria and bakery noted in the description) and is within an easy walk or bus ride to downtown. Bedroom and bathroom are clean and spacious, and options for breakfast were ample (including some wonderful fresh fruit and coffee.) Our conversations with Dale were pleasant and informative. I would not hesitate recommending this location or returning should I visit Halifax again.
We spent a night in the Hydrostone district at Dale's house and it was great. Located on a nice quiet street and close to some neat shopping and dining, we appreciated the comfortable bed and low noise level allowing for a restful sleep. Dale, our host was helpful with suggestions both in Halifax and all of Nova Scotia. Would be happy to recommend his place to both friends and family.
I stayed with Dale over a weekend and he was extremely accommodating by having a key ready for me at his place earlier than the posted the checki-in time as I arrived in town that morning. He has an amazing house with a very spacious room and comfortable bed. Each morning I was in a rush to get on the road but he always offered to make coffee and had food available for breakfast. I would definitely come back and stay with Dale again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place just north of downtown and within a 2 minute walk of some great restaurants and cafe's.
Dale’s place is a great spot to stay just outside of the busier downtown core. His house was lovely, as advertised. The bedroom is spacious and both the bedroom and the bathroom were very clean. Dale was flexible about our arrival time and left the key waiting for us along with a note. He was pleasant to communicate with and provided some recommendations for our trip. I would recommend Dale’s place to stay to family and friends.
We made our reservation very last minute. Dale was very accommodating. The room was very clean, and good sized. He had a book with some great local recommendations on the bedside table, and Perrier on the dresser - a nice touch.
