This location is a great place for anyone looking to visit Fayetteville and mainly the University of Arkansas. The house is a 10 minute walk to Dickson Street which is a great gathering place for students and professionals. We chose this place to stay for an away football game and it was a great time. I would recommend this place to anyone with a group of 4-6 people.
Perfect GAMEDAY rental... I had a group of 7 men. They have an air mattress and we were able to comfortably fit in the house as each person had a place to sleep. We were walking distance (under a mile) to the bars on Dixon St. that were easily accessible and safe conditions via the bike path. Fayetteville's bike path made the city pedestrian friendly as it is well-lit and extends throughout the city. The stadium is also walking distance (for a Gameday) just under 2 miles. I was surprised the hot water lasted for 7 showers. The location is away from any tailgating environment, but there is a sports bar ("Grubs") just up the street that had everything we were looking for and more... Most everyone we encountered was friendly, and I look forward to coming back some day!
I highly recommend staying with Margaret and Alyssa at this sweet little home in the historic district. They are inviting, warm, and welcoming with two sweet dogs, Oskar and Oreo. I felt at home from the moment I walked into the place due to their hospitality. If you are lucky enough, you might get to try one of Margaret's delicious kitchen creations- she makes a mean apple pie.
The room is very spacious and has a large closet. It also gets the most amount of sunlight in the house and is located in the back, away from the street. They have 3 porches, a fire pit, and a barbecue.
The bike trail is directly behind the house and behind that is a creek. It's less than 10 minute walk to Dickson St., around the corner from a pharmacy and a few restaurants, and extremely close to the public library. You will be within walking distance to most of the activities in town including the farmers' market, the university, and a plethora of bars and restaurants.
I highly recommend staying at this place and I also highly recommend hosting Margaret and Alyssa should they ever want to rent a place off AirBnB.
Best case scenario! I spent an entire summer with Margaret and Alyssa and not only were they great hosts and roommates during my internship, but they are also now great friends. The house is super comfortable and has great outdoor spaces too for those Arkansas summer nights. The location is perfect within easy biking and walking distance to the square and Dickson street. Also the big back yard boarders the local bike path which I loved. This is a great spot with two generous, welcoming, and warm gals.
Margaret and Alyssa were amazing hosts. They made me feel welcome and made my stay in Fayetteville fun and enjoyable. They helped drive me if I needed a ride somewhere and became great friends over the course of my stay. The house is in a great location for getting around town, especially without a car--it was a 10-15 min walk to Dickson ST/U of Arkansas campus on the paved bike trail right behind their house, and also a short walk to the Historic Square area. The room was great, spacious and looks exactly like the photos, and the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying with Margaret and Alyssa!
