I have a cute apt. and I have been calling NY home for the last 5 years. I love traveling by bike, train, plane or foot.
Stephanie was the perfect host. I had to look for a place for my husband to stay in just before the labor day weekend. He had to accompany my daughter back to NYU for the fall semester. Stephanie responded promptly to my inquiries. Her apartment was very clean, well-kept, and charming. My daughter and my husband loved it. My husband had a very comfortable stay there. He had no problem at all. Stephanie even let him use one of the guitars she had at the apartment. I would not hesitate to reserve her place again, and I can't wait to stay there myself, next time I plan a trip to NYC.
Stephanie was an excellent host. She left the keys in a convenient location and everything was clear. She left me clean bedding and towels.
The location was amazing. Everything you could need/want in walking distance in/around Soho, yet Stephanie's place was on a quiet block.
If you are someone coming in from London, Tokyo or another place where space is scarce, this place should feel OK. But if you are not used to cramped spaces, it's going to feel quite small. I was bumping into stuff all the time in the hallway and the bathroom. Not atypical for NY, but certainly something to keep in mind.
Also, there wasn't air conditioning in the bedroom. On the hot nights, I had to sleep in the living room (had a wall unit AC) pushing two sofa chairs together. On the cooler nights, the bedroom was fine. Stephanie said the AC system could be moved to the bedroom, but I had already arrived and she was gone, so I didn't want to try and do it myself.
It was a pleasure to have Stephanie as our guest, and we would be happy to have her again soon.
There is nothing much to say about stephanie. Discret, clean, and very involved in her computer;-)!!! Only one critic : she doesn t read Well the Air bnb ads: i only rent a room not the entire appartment. That s why she can t have an access to all the rooms... I m sorry
