The appartment is really well located, close to the historical centre. It is an old building but the appartment has been completely renovated, spacious kitchen and livingroom, and a cosy bedroom with a balcony with great views to a small harbour.
I had a great stay with my family, I defintley recommend it !!!
Great location close to the entrance to the old town. As others have said, if you just look at the buildings and the area you would not want to stay there but in fact you would be wrong - it is a lovely bright modern apartment in a very relaxed and friendly area. dont let the 'streetview' put you off, its safe. i would guess its an upcoming area of Zadar that has been neglected and is now more desirable. handy to countless supermarkets, bakeries and the main routes to Pag, Biograd and the A1 motorway.
Nice flat and convenient location
Iwanna is a nice person, very helpful and flexible so that we could check-in late.
The flat had everything for cooking even oil and vinegar, tea... which made our stay easier as we were just arriving in Croatia.
My partner and I had a great time staying at Iwanna's apartment.
Its in a great location, if a little difficult to find initially.
5 Minute walk from the Old Town, and maybe 30 minutes walk from the Bus Station, with supermarkets and cafébars within walking distance, the apartment is ideal.
It is on the 4th floor, and there is no lift. From the buzzer to get in it says 8, but on the door it says 23!! That was confusing, but that was the only issue. The water was hot, the aircon was great, the bed was comfy, a view of some of the harbour from the balcony and you can see bats flying around at night, which is awesome.
Really had a great time staying there, and will consider it again should we head back to Zadar soon!

Iwanna's Zadar apartment was perfect for us. A great location. It was close enough for you to walk to two of the local beaches (about 10 to 15 min walk), walk to the market for food, and very close to old town (less than 10 mins). The apartment was clean and ready when we arrived.
There is no lift but we enjoyed the stairs up to the 4th flr. The air conditioning unit worked great. We had outdoor temps of 32 to 34 deg C and the place was nice and cool. Like other reviews, the building is less than perfect from the outside but the apartment matches the photos she has posted. The apartment is nice and modern.
Just a note to non-Croatian travelers, the government requires all (as for July 2013) visitors of Croatia to register with the local police/tourism office. I mention this because you will have to wait for Iwanna to register you. However, she does it all for you. You do not even have to leave the apartment.
Lastly, Iwanna was very helpful. She provided us with travel tips and general info that made getting settled very easy.
We really enjoyed our stay at Iwanna's apartment. It was clean and modern with some nice original features. The balcony, with its views of the harbour, old town and island of Ugljan in the distance, was a great place unwind with a glass of wine. The location could not have been better. The old town was a 5-10 minute stroll away as was the bus stop for the airport and the ferries to the various islands. Zadar itself is a wonderful place and is a city on the up. The old town, with its winding narrow streets, has historical places of interest around every corner. As well as a pleasant bar and restaurant scene (especially if you like pizza) to sit and watch the world go by. The locals are very friendly and we shared a few laughs along the way, mainly at our attempt to speak Croatian! Zadar is in a good central position to explore surrounding villages, towns and coastlines as well as regular ferries to the many islands. The latter may need some planning, if you want to explore the island, so you get your connections with buses. Only a couple of small minuses. Arriving at the apartment we found a bit daunting at first as it is a grey concrete block with its fair share of graffiti. Do not be put off by this. Public areas in the the block where clean, neighbours friendly and as mentioned above, apartment itself we couldn't fault at all. Also, don't be expecting miles of golden sands along the coasts. Mainly pebble beaches but pleasant enough. Highly recommend a trip to Zadar and a stay at Iwannas apartment.
Iwanna answered all my questions very promptly, and she waiting for us even though our flight came in quite late. At the apartment, she briefed us on directions, etc. We were so comfortable here--it was clean, cozy. The bathroom was spotless--something very important to me! The photos are true to reality. Thanks again!
