I travel between San Francisco and Los Angeles and have set up this home to be optimized for guests when it's vacant. I do film industry work myself and know about the transiency of that business, as well as the need to have family visit from far away. I myself have had great experiences in short term rentals, and like staying in a home a lot more than a hotel or motel, whether I have kids with me or am on my own.
I suppose you could say I am passionate about bicycling, walking and walkability - even in LA - an eclectic mix of cuisine and music, and great storytelling and everything that goes into it. I really dig the balance of quiet secluded living while magically being adjacent to the action. I kind of despise car commuting, and when I travel the first thing I like to do is get feet on the ground to map the place out first-hand. I've had great experiences with vacation rentals and house swaps, and once even spent an entire summer in Bali thanks to a (website hidden) post for a house swap. When I'm in LA I like to go downtown, to Hollywood, and to the retail areas of Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena and Silverlake. From the places in this corridor opposite the west side I, a bay area native, have discovered how great LA and its people can be.
