Really nicely laid out place, stylishly furnished and clean... with some very cute, quirky bits of interior design. It's a little way out of town, but there's a bus stop right outside which runs every 1/2 hr or so.
Lots of space in this two bedroom, two bath home.Beautifully decorated. Great shower pressure. Quiet neighborhood. Easy to find. Super clean.
Wish I'd had time to do some cooking. there is a nice kitchen.
Great location. Pretty much on 1st Street and very very close to South Congress. As others have stated, the furniture is a little dated, and as such wouldn't be a fit for some, but the place was fine for my wife and I. Having no TV was ok for me just to as well, but the down wifi was a little bit of a bummer.
I'd stay there again just due to the location alone. Thanks again.
This the second time my wife and I have stayed at Aaron's rental. We enjoyed the house very much. Nice furnishings, quiet neighborhood and it is close to places we like to visit. I would definitely recommend this place.
Had a blast in Austin and the SOCO 2bd was a great place to stay. We loved the central location and the easy access to the places we needed to go. The vibe in the cottage might not be for everyone, but I loved its laid back nature and felt instantly comfortable there. Thanks!
This is a great house. Those of you who are Doctor Who fans will understand me when I say the house was like the Tardis. From the outside it looks small but inside it is very roomy. Please, if you decide to stay here take care of the house as Aaron has taken great care decorating. I loved all of the little details and added touches. the Master bathroom shower was awesome and the kitchen well stocked with dishes. The complimentary water and soda was well appreciated. We were met by Jack the onsite property manger who showed us where to park and gave us the rundown on how to operate the house. He was a very nice guy. I would definately recommend this house to friends. It is right on a bus route to downtown and really convenient for getting to the F1 or the airport.
Great location, perfect size. A little run down in terms of furniture and curtains, but we weren't spending much time there so that wasn't a big deal. They let us check in early and the owner was still there cleaning when we arrived and was super friendly and nice. The biggest plus is the location, you can walk to great places to eat and drink in minutes.
Cool space, friendly neighbors and great location close to SoCo. I would definitely stay again.
Great place to stay in Austin! The neighborhood is really nice and family friendly. We were traveling with 2 adults and 2 kids, the house had more than enough room for our family and a great fenced in yard with a beautiful view. The house is thoughtfully decorated and feels like home. The beds were really comfy and the host was flexible and easy to work with. You are blocks from the broken spoke which is a great place for nightly easy live music.. also easy trip from the house to the fun on South First. Wireless internet and a great record/ player with speaker action in the kitchen was an added bonus. We were able to have a relaxing family vacation in Austin and having such a great place to stay was a huge factor. We would stay here again in the future and highly recommend to others.
Aaron is a great guy, awesome photographer and has takes great care of his places. He also knows the best places and people in Austin and is a treasure of information about local culture and hot spots for art, music, fashion, food and pretty much everything else.
