Everything was great! The cabana they gave us was wonderful and hey even included a portable AC. Ayangue is a wonderful town and staying at Muyuyo was a great decision!
Jamie was both a hostess and an ambassador. She arranged for transportation, became a translator, acclimated me to the environment and openly shared her Ecuadorian culture. The accommodations were pleasant, clean, centrally located and well kept. I was there for two weeks over Xmas and the New Year and was able to see the holidays celebrated first hand in another culture. A pleasant and valuable travel experience.
The cabins are very spartan.
They were clean but not nearly worth the price. We felt pretty ripped off having just stayed with a much more comfortable host just a few miles away for less.
Worse, I had a terrible allergic reaction to something in the pillows and we couldn't even stay past the first night.
Jamie's bungalows are truly located in Paradise. We stayed at Muyuyo Lodge for 4 days after a week long trip in Salinas and it was the perfect place to unwind. You can hear the ocean from the room. The property is kept very clean and beautiful. Jamie was there to answer any of our questions and she speaks perfect english. The rooms were very clean, we had plenty of hot water, and if we needed anything they were there to assist us. Jamie is full of tons of local knowledge: where to eat, things to do, hikes, etc. My husband and I had a wonderful time at Muyuyo lodge. It was the perfect romantic getaway. Jamie was even kind enough to drop us off in Monglaralto. I highly recommend Jamie's place at Muyuyo lodge. Thanks for a great time, Jamie. We will see you again! :)
Fantastic experience! My first trip to Ecuador and I picked Ayangue for its lack of crowds and quiet beach. Was not disappointed by this property. Clean, safe, quiet, and PERFECT location: literally a 90-second walk (if not shorter) from my front door to the beach. As of May 2014, the major construction project next door appears to be finished except for touch-up, so noise and dust were not factors at all. The WiFi was a little spotty sometimes. But then again, I'm a software engineer and frequently used high-bandwidth applications on remote servers in the USA. If you're just browsing Facebook or checking e-mail, it's more than adequate. Jamie is a great host and speaks fluent English, and is eager to provide tips and advice.
Lugar muy tranquilo, seguro, con una vista excelente y un playa muy calmada para los niños, Mucho espacios para caminar y explorar donde se puede realizar un buen careteo, y una aceptable variada de especie marina. Recomendable.
Hi,just like to tell everyone that the owner should have let you no about the construction going on next door and the work going on just out side of your room ,the owner is building more places to stay and it will be going on for 6 months ,its now Jan 2 ,2014 ,then to top it off next door there is a huge condo development being build that is going to take a year or more and after that it will be never the same ,so save your money and don't rent here.Sorry to tell everyone this but when your booking a holiday i don't like it when people take advantage of tourist ,and my experience in Ecuador ,i found that its over priced ,i live in Vancouver Canada, and the price for most things in Ecuador is comparable to going to Mexico, would have figured it cheeper ,even my girl friend is from Ecuador and she tells me that the people for Ecuador charge more for tourist ,this will be my last time to Ecuador ,they are going to over price them self ,if this happen to me just think who's next to get ripped off ,thanks
You have to understand that this is a very remote location in a fishing village. It was exactly what we were looking for. QUIET!! The accommodations were very clean and well kept. We only were able to stay one night but everything was as promised. The only negative was no hot water but that was only because they forgot to turn on the propane for the water heater. We were the only guests there. Jamie was very quick to respond and was very helpful with all our needs.
If quiet and relaxation is what you are looking for this is the place. What great views from the porch. Jaime was great to work with and quick to respond. We will stay again.
