Maja gave us a very warm welcome. She is great and she knows a lot about Rome and what to do there. Whenever we had questions, she was available. The room was big, the beds were good. Breakfast was not quite up to our standard, but the supermarket was around the corner, also open on Sunday, so we could make our own choices. Towels, shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer and tooth paste were all available in our own private bath room. In the room, there is a water cooker and tea. Close to the apartment building, there are 2 busstops. It is always a surprise when the bus will come, but once you get a bus, it takes approx. 20 minutes to get to the Piazza Venezia, from where you can do everything by foot. The day we wanted to go to the Vatican, the bus was on strike, so we walked there (approx. 35/40 minutes). From Trastevere (a nice neighborhood with nice restaurants) to the apartment by taxi costs approx. 12 euros.
Maja and Sean are simply wonderful. Since they both work in tourism, they could give us good advice on where to go and what to do (and more importantly: what to avoid). We stayed for four days and were out a lot, but when we were in Sean was there most of the time, happy to make a chat. The house is very cosy, just like you see on the pictures. It's in a nice neighborhood, close to trastevere. We were very happy to have found this place.
This was our first experience staying at an air Bnb property and it was exceptional. My family and I found Maja to be very kind & welcoming and also very knowledgeable of Rome. The room had plenty of space for the 3 of us and is located in a great area. The city bus stops only a block from the building and takes just a few minutes to get to the heart of Rome! We also ate dinner at Bruno's (right down the road) a few times. Definitely take the opportunity to eat there if you stay here. It's a 2 min walk from the building, the food is excellent and it is Much cheaper than eating in the the Tourists areas of Rome. If we make another trip to Rome we would absolutely stay here again.
The room is an open loft above the living room which we didn't realise but it didn't matter. We still felt we had enough privacy. Maja and Sean were lovely hosts and we did some tours through them which were also great. Mostly Sean was at home and he was friendly but very discreet and considerate. Location is good and five min walk to trams buses and trains. The apartment is quite small (low ceiling in the loft might annoy very tall people!) but we had everything we needed. Would stay again.
It was very nice staying in Maja's place. Me and my friend stayed there for five nights and during our accommodation we felt like our house. The flat was clean and cutely decorated. And also iy was in a great location. We could walk to everywhere. Maja was a wonderful host. She explained us everything about Rome. She helped us tour organise our tour the Vatikan and we could avoid the queue. Thank you Maja for everyting. For sure we would love to stay next time and also definetly recommend it to our friends.
First off, Maja is a great host, very helpful, friendly and professional.
The place is in a very convenient, safe, urban, residential area. Everything you can need is very near; public transport, coffee shops, bakeries, very decent restaurants, parks and couple of grocery shops in case you don't feel like eating out.
Street view doesn't do justice to this street/area, in person it is much much nicer.
We hope to come back to Rome again (we threw coins ;)) but we will definitely keep in touch with Maja!
So I made this booking really late, plus I arrived really late - so thanks for Maja for not making this an issue as I needed a place to stay for the marathon.
The place is located within relatively easy reach of the sights as the place is on a bus route. The room is really big and there are a few shops and 2 supermarkets by the apartment should you need anything.
Rome is a cool city but I didn't get to see the nightlife, next time for sure.
It was very nice staying in Maja's place. I was there with my boyfriends for a couple of nights. Very close to transportations, and nice quiet area.
We only saw Maja on the first day of my stay and we mostly saw her boyfriend Sean while we were there, but both of them were very welcoming and gave us recommendations for good restaurants and places to go in the city.
We had a great time in Rome!
Very nice people, a pleasure to have them around!! thank you so much! :))
