Thank you Roberto and Manuela for a great time in Rome! The appartement is really great, we were there with 2 adults and 2 children and everything was perfect. Wonderful old house, spacious living room. Great atmosphere, communication with Roberto without any problems. Everything we need was there: towels, linen, hairdryer.... Trastevere is a great spot also for familys: food, supermarket, playground nearby. Only a few tram stations to centro storico.
The flat is very nice and the neighbourhood lovely
Gracias!
Awesome apartment and location. Roberto, Manuela and Piera were very nice and available whenever needed. Cozy place, comfortable beds and sheets, well equipped kitchen. Everything was fine. I recommend for sure.
The apartment was clean, tidy and pretty. It's small, but fine for the three of us, and a great place to come back to after a hard day's walking around Rome. We didn't use the kitchen as we ate breakfast in the café below the flat and supper in restaurants. Roberto and Manuela were very welcoming and checked in with us by phone and in person to make sure we were ok and even offered us the use of their own internet when the apartment's was playing up. We were able to arrive early and to leave our bags when we checked out, which was very useful.
The area is fun with lots of restaurants and little shops to explore. It was touristy, but less so than across the river, and we were glad we chose to stay in this area. We walked to the Coliseum on the first day, which was fine but we did end up very footsore by the end of that day and after that we took the bus into the centre! The bus/tram system was easy to use and the stop is only a few minutes from the flat. All in all a good place to stay and if we go back to Rome we'll use it again.
Schön eingerichtetes Appartement in Trastevere.
Thanks a lot Roberto. Even if we didn't met, it was great to stay at your apartment. Everything was clean, the rooms are even better, than you can see on the pictures.
See you next time in rome!
We had a wonderful time in Roberto's apartment. We loved the neighborhood and the apartment was very clean and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the shower worked well. The only thing I would say is that it does seem better set up for 2 than 4. The pullout couch was comfortable, but the pillows for it were very old, flat, and falling apart. And, while there are curtains in the living room where the pullout is, they are not darkening. It was not a problem for us as we stayed in early spring and were up early exploring, but for a summer stay, I would think that the light would wake you very early. Finally, there was one partial roll of toilet paper for the 4 of us for 2 nights so we had to buy more.
We did not get to meet Roberto as he had to work during our time there, but he made sure to contact us to see if everything was OK and to let us know that he was available and offered to call a taxi for our departure.
There is a wonderful restaurant very near the apartment, Alle Fratte Di Trastevere. It was delicious and the staff was very nice.
Finally, if you take a taxi from the train station, I would ask them for an estimate before you leave. We should have asked Roberto before we took one, but we paid 33 euro and he later said it should have been around 12. The meter said 22 euro, so I knew 33 was too much, but we don't speak Italian and our driver didn't speak English. People were honking horns and he was getting more emphatic as we held up traffic, so we just paid, but it was frustrating.
All in all, we had a wonderful time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Roberto's apartment to other travelers.
We have only kind words for Roberto and his wonderful family !
With a last minute reservation it was still super easy to get organized : Communication was easy and friendly, and they left the apartment in great shape. We recommend to other AirBNB hosts!
Roberto is a great guest nice, polite, very reactive and communicative. He also took very good care of the flat. I highly recommend Roberto to other hosts.
