Two teachers living in London but with family living in Caernarfon
A lovely place to stay near Snowdonia National Park. Great for a couple or a family and super in the winter when you've frozen your fingers off trying to climb a mountain and want a cosy fire to come back to in the evening. The place is clean, cosy, convenient and has everything you could possibly need for your countryside holiday. Martin is helpful and easy to communicate with, a perfect host. If only the weather was as accommodating!
Lovely cottage in a really great location for exploring north wales and snowdonia. Spent 3 days here in December 2013. The cottage is warm and well stocked with everything you might need. Great new kitchen. Martin was extremely nice to deal with and had left lots of walking maps and helpful local information in the cottage.
Yet again, another fantastic property through airbnb-my third this year!! This cottage really was 'cosy'. There are only two official bedrooms which accommodates four people but with the Sofa Bed in the lounge 6 people can use this property. The cottage is thoroughly equipped with everything a real "home from home". At the rear of the property is The 'Family Room' a spacious are with large Kitchen/Diner. The lounge is very comfy with a sofa and 2 armchairs. The location is well placed, centrally located (close to Caenarfon) for reaching all thoughout the region into Gwynnedd, Snowdonia, Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsular. Supermarkets, Tesco ASDA and Morrisons are all within easy reach. We had some pretty bad weather over the weekend-it was exteremely wet and windy, but this didn't matter as we felt we had such a lovely retreat We will be booking this one again in the new year hopefully. Many Thanks to Martin and His Family for allowing us to stay at their lovely cottage.
We very much enjoyed our stay here. It is a very comfortable cottage, with good heating, and everything you could possibly want is here! Communications with Martin and Lynne were very good, and we enjoyed meeting Martin when we arrived. It's very well situated for exploring Snowdonia and North Wales - unfortunately, the atrocious weather meant that we had to stay away from the mountains, but there is plenty to see on the coast and on Anglesey.
It's worth asking for detailed directions for finding the cottage once you get to the village - it's not difficult, you just need to know where to find the track which leads to it.
We are hoping that we can come back to the cottage in better weather so we can get up Snowdon.

What a lovely home! We were a very last minute booking and Martin was able to fit us in. The cottage was very close to Caernarfon where we did shopping at the local supermarket. Also, its quite close to Llanberis (10min drive) if you wish to climb Snowdon (which was our goal). The cottage was nice and clean and they even ensured we had a loaf of bread and milk in the fridge when we arrived.
There are buses that run through Caeatro however we did bring a car and thank goodness for that. They did leave a pile of brochures and maps which we found extremely useful.
We will definitely be returning to Wales next year and hope to stay here again when the weather is a bit better.
Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely cottage Martin! Very clean and tidy, great location for the Bethesda zip line too! Thanks for accommodating us at such short notice too.

We had a great time at your cottage. There is so much to do and see in the area, with easy access to fantastic beaches and the Snowdonia park. The cottage is lovely, very comfortable and well equipped, with a really beautiful kitchen lovely small garden and all mod cons including dishwasher and washing machine. I would highly recommend this cottage and martin and lynne couldn't have been more helpful
We’ve never, ever, experienced such a perfect holiday. You really made us feel like royalty.

Thank you so much for sharing your local knowledge. The secret lake was breathtaking in its unspoilt beauty. Even the weatherman conspired to give us weather to die for.
