Jasminka was a great communicator from start to finish. She was accessible and gave clear instructions and helpful hints for enjoying the area. The home was clean and just as described and pictured. The home is tucked away and private, but just minutes from beautiful beaches. This home is a great bargain for a wonderful beach getaway, and the host incredibly helpful!
House was perfect! It had everything we needed for the beach and was just the right size for our family. LOVED the backyard where I could let the boys play without worrying. Great neighbors as well! We look forward to renting it again!
I had a wonderful time at the Charming Cottage! I booked this to visit my sister at a local summer camp and for a short getaway. We had a blast and I would recommend this house to anyone! It is definitely the best value and I can't wait to stay here again!
Had a fantastic time in Gulf Shores this weekend! Jasminka was readily available to answer all of my questions. The neighbors pug mix (Taco) was a delightful welcoming committee. The cottage had plenty of room, a plethora of towels and terrific water pressure. Firm, comfortable beds & clean linens made for some deep sleeping on this vacation. We greatly appreciated the use of the beach chairs & the beach umbrella!
Where we ate:
Desotos- the cheese & crab stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon . . . well, you get the idea.
S&S Seafood Market- carry out only. First night we sat on the benches outside & inhaled 2 lbs of shrimp accompanied by a bottle of wine from the convenience store next door. Followed by the most amazing ice cream (also purchased from a shop in the same building). The next day we ordered 3 lbs of shrimp with all the sides offered & had a picnic on the beach.
Papa Rocco's- I had a really good burger & my friends ordered pizza that they couldn't stop raving about.
What we did:
Spent 2 full days on the beach soaking up the rays.
Ventured over to The Wharf (Orange Beach) on recommendation by S&S Seafood employee. Not much going on there at night. Really cool ferris wheel (only $4 admission), but the rest of the 'carnival' was closed by 10.
Caught a great Nashville band- The Deep Fried 5 - at The Hangout.
Jasminka was very kind getting us in the last minute.
We loved this little cozy house. It worked perfect for our family. It had everything we needed: bedrooms located far enough from each other for privacy, kitchen with everything in it and the beach toys and chairs were a big plus. The location was perfect also. Just a short drive to the beautiful beaches, all the restaurants, and a nice grocery store. We went to the beach every morning and would drive to explore places in the afternoon. I would highly recommend Fort Morgan(30 min drive), you can also take a FERRY ride to the other beautiful island from here; Navy museum in Pensacola (about 1hr drive) but it was worth it. Over all we had a great time here.
We loved Jasminka's cottage! Everything we needed was there at our fingertips. Love the shady oaks and Magnolias. Easy bike ride to the Gulf of Mexico, parks nearby, Waterville USA, etc. Jasminka was easy to communicate with and everything went as planned. Highly recommend!
Our family enjoyed the Charming Cottae of Gulf Shores. It was close to the beach, shopping and resturants. Jasminka was very easy to communicate with through email and when I had questions, she quickly got back to me. The cottage was cozy, accomodating wireless internet, flat screen TV, and was in a nice area with a walking/biking trail.
I definitely would stay here again and return to Gulf Shores!
My husband and I spent a long weekend at Charming Cottage Gem. Jasminka is a wonderful host: she promptly answered to our e-mails and questions.
The house is big, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable vacation and (very important for us) very clean!
We are happy to have found a place where we can stay when we go to Gulf Shores!
This charming cottage really is a perfect little jewel. We loved the convenience of its location. It’s close to everything, including our favorite restaurant in Gulf Shores, Doc’s Seafood Shack. The hosts seemed to have thought of everything in furnishing and decorating their vacation home. The hosts were accessible and responsive. When a storm knocked out the cable and internet, Zlotko spent many hours on the phone with MediaCom trying to get it restored as quickly as possible. All in all, it’s an excellent value managed by great hosts!
What a cozy cottage! We spent several night here and were very, very relaxed at the end. It's away from the hustle/bustle of the beach-scene, but a quick 10 minute drive there any time we wanted. The backyard is quiet and peaceful, complete with a neighborhood dog (a nice old black lab we nicknamed 'Bubba') which was fun. The house itself is spotless clean with all the amenities we needed. Dealing with our hostess was painless and predictable...just what we look for. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat, which is really the ultimate review. --Philip & Vanessa 2012
