I had another great stay in Tim's flat. Will definitively come back!
Tim was warm and sincere in his mail. Though I did not meet him in person,
I did appreciate the trust he puts in people by allowing them to check themselves in. It made me feel like it was my pad :)). The place appears as on the picture design-wise, and it is remodelled modestly. I did not mind the off bits here amd there. The shower is clean and comfortable. One need to let the water run a little till it warms up. The heating tank does make loud sudden noices in the middle of the night, but you get used to it when you realize its the machine. All in all, I think the place is good! I loves being there :)
Tim's flat is a great place. It is very cool decorated, you find great books, the kitchen is perfectly equipped. I had a great stay, thank you, Tim!
We had some issues at Tim’s flat. Located on the edge of Notting Hill, we enjoyed walking to Portobello Road and we had several bus options nearby as well as at the Tube station. The major downside was the noise. Buses roared past at all hours, the heater sounded like it was about explode when the thermostat kicked in, the front stoop was power washed for nearly two hours on Sunday morning, and the construction workers in the flat downstairs sounded as though they were in the same room. The fact that they began drilling into the shared concrete and brick wall at 7:30 AM was just diabolical and ensured that our vacation would not include much relaxation. The “stairs” to the loft were really just a built-in bookcase that you had to pull yourself up, there was no railing on the loft which was rather frightening, and Tim forgot to provide more than half a roll of toilet paper. The neighborhood was a bit more ‘dodgy’ than we had expected and burglary was a real threat, so although we did not have any incidents, I would have felt more comfortable closer to the posh areas of Notting Hill. So yeah, we had some issues. On the plus side, Tim was very responsive and did provide a token refund of 50 GBP for our troubles.
El apto se encuentra ubicado en una zona estupenda, con supermercados y paradas de metro y ómnibus a menos de dos cuadras. El apto es muy cómodo y es exactamente lo que esperábamos a partir de las fotos.
My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Tim's Notting Hill apartment, I would recommend. It was close to Ladbroke Grove Underground station and bus stops, plus it was super close to the start of the Portobello markets and vintage shops. Also close to other shops and amenities. Tim provided a full set of instructions which made for an easy transition and was always vigilant and available for communication throughout my experience. The apartment was equipped with everything that you needed and the living space was great to hang out in after a day out in London.
We are very happy that we got this oppurtuniy to stay at this nice apartment in Notting Hill. Tim gave us the best descripton on how we easiest could get from the airport to his flat. The neighbourhood is just awesome!
The apartment is well located, blocks away from the famous Portobello road in the middle of Notting Hill, and if you don't mind walking a bit you can basically move around without a single bus or metro ride, as we mostly did. Hyde park is also very close to the apartment and from there you are 15-20 minutes away from Soho.
There are many shops, delis, British pubs and restaurants near by, which is great when you arrive late on a winter afternoon after a long day walking and sightseeing.
The apartment itself has everything you need for a short stay: a small but well furnished kitchen, a very nice living room, perfect heating for a cold winter, TV, fast wi-fi, etc. The bathroom is small but with a very good water pressure.
Getting here is very easy, just stop on the Ladbroke Grove station (on the yellow and pink lines), walk 2 blocks and you will be right on the apartment.
Overall we had an amazing time at Tim's place, besides having some initial issues with an annoying construction that was taking place on an downstairs apartment. But Tim was very, and I mean very, kind and helped us solve the issue by talking with the neighbors over the phone and he was also kind enough to offer us a partial refund. Basically we couldn't ask for more considering he was en Egypt while we were on his London apartment. So +1 to Tim as a host.
I will definitely recommend Tim's apartment over most others on Airbnb, because it has an excellent quality-price relationship, a perfect location and a great host.
It was a nice stay at Tim's place. Cozy and comfy.

No problems at all with Tim's stay at my apartment. We had a real nice talk when we first met, and they fully understood everything.... there was no problems communicating at all, They kept the place nice and clean.... perfect guest.
Tim and his friends were the perfect guests, easy to handle, very clean and I'm sad we couldn't spend time with e/o.
Highly recommended, hope to host/meet you again!!
