Without wanting to sound like everyone else's review. I would just like to underline to everyone how nice the house/breakfast/Francine was. Good location too. I would recommended this property even if you didn't want to go to Bugge!
Fantastic place to stay.Quiet and magical and easy to reach all the cities attractions.Francine bought us incredible breakfasts each morning of fresh pastries, eggs, cheeses, etc which kept us going throughout the day.The fridge is stocked with various Belgium beers. The place is cosy and warm with splendid period decor throughout. We loved it and hope to stay again soon.

Francine’s cottage is a wonderful and romantic place, we couldn’t have had a better place for a stay in Brugge. The house is at the end of a beautiful garden planted with trees, with it's own entrance. It's quite magic and very private. And the breakfast is just amazing with very good products! Francine was also very helpful when we asked advices for restaurants in the area.

What a wonderful treat to stay in an authentic garden house! The hostess and her son were helpful and informative with suggestions - we loved it!!
We had a lovely stay at Francine's Garden House. It was cosy and comfortable, just what we needed after 3 weeks of being in hostels. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! So much food we couldn't eat it all. The house itself had everything we needed and even had beers available to purchase. Francine was very accommodating when we were delayed by a car crash and arrived late. Thank you Francine for everything.
We had a wonderful stay at De Sterre. The gardenhouse is beautiful and very comfortable. It was all we hoped for and even more. We could imagine ourselves living there. Francine, you are a great host. We loved the breakfast very much. We hope to return to Brugge and stay here again.
Oh my goodness! We absolutely cannot say enough good things about Francine and this place. We stayed in her cozy, comfy, well-situated garden cottage for four days, and it was the best part of our entire European adventure. The cottage was comfortable and quaint, and we could easily walk to and from everywhere we needed to go. Francine had bottled water available at no charge (restocked daily) and cokes, wine, and beer on hand at about half the cost of the corner stores. There was internet available at the time that we went, which meant movie-watching in front of the gas stove after a long day of exploring. It was perfect.
More than just a place to stay, though, Francine was the consummate hostess. She has a wonderful gift of knowing exactly how to navigate the line between too much presence and not enough. We felt completely autonomous, but Francine swept in just when the time was right to bring us a fresh and delicious breakfast (plenty leftover for lunch) and give us great advice about what to see and do while in town. She taught us about the history, language, culture, and beer of her city, and even lent us jackets when we realized how ill-prepared we were for the weather. We have been telling friends and strangers alike about how wonderful Francine was, and--should we return to the beautiful town of Bruges--we would plan our trip around the garden house's availability.
Our stay at Brugge was fantastic ! The house is in a perfect location very close from the center in a very calm street. The house itself is extremely well decorated, with a lot of attention to every detail. The Breakfast is EPIC , it's the same level as 5 stars palace,(it's a brunch at the end cause we doesn't have to get a lunch during the day :) ). Francine is very kind and she help us to find the good place to visit. Well it was just a wonderful journey in Brugge thanks in big part to Francine !
Many Thanks Francine !
