Genial and good-humored, if a little bookish. Six foot one (186 cm), 215 lbs (97 kg). Very fortunate and proud to make my living as an actor--mostly on stage, with some voice work and the occasional on-camera job. Another great love and vocation is poetry, James Merrill being my favorite. Favorite novelist, Orhan Pamuk (would love to go to Istanbul some day!). Also a bit of a sideline in music--blues harmonica (but I promise I won't be noisy with it!); I'm a lover of nearly all types of jazz music as well (New Orleans is somewhere else I need to get to!).
So that's the general round-up, and I'm traveling alone. It's right now early September 2013, and I'm coming to Ireland!!! Here's one thing: I adore good conversation, and will look forward to chatting folks up. I'm also a walking fool--have lost about 40 pounds over the last three years, via changes in diet and lots of walking (haven't owned a motor vehicle since the turn of the century). I'm not going to be after a lot of rushed sight-seeing; I like to find the corners, sit in them and watch. I'd like to go out and hear a lot of Irish music! If a literary magazine is hosting a reading in a bar or cafe, I want to be there.
Might be some late nights out, but I'm quiet and respectful on premises.
