Stephan was communicative before getting to the loft, which I appreciated. However, when he and his wife were not satisfied with the cleanliness of the loft, they bought a bunch of stuff and replaced it and cleaned the loft. Which is great--but he did not tell me about this until it was too late for me to fix it (e.g. have the cleaner come again or not pay her and then give him that discount). And he did not respond when I offered to at least reimburse him for the cleaning supplies.
I think AirBnB works best when travelers and hosts communicate well, and once they got to the loft I didn't hear anything that would have helped me fix the problem or make his stay better.
