I'm just returning from a 1 week stay in Andrew & Emily's loft... These two were great hosts and really made me feel at home in their home. Andrew kept in great communication about my arrival and met me with keys and a quick orientation to the loft. Their home was stocked with all the necessities and more (coffee maker, blender, etc..) ..they even shared their eggs with me!!
Their home was exactly as described... modern, spotless, artsy, comfy and conveniently located to the downtown area. Perfect for 1-2 people.
There is a small outdoor seating area, and a dining table large enough for working or for having a few friends over. There is really a lot of space for prepping food in the kitchen and a full-sized dishwasher, stove and microwave. The space is so well designed and organized that I marveled at how much storage and living space was in such a small footprint.
There is a farmers market twice a week in the park across the street (YUM!!), small and large markets near by (walking or in a cab), and there are honestly endless restaurant options (don't miss the Thai restaurant or Belgian waffles right next door). The loft was in a secured building, the common area was clean (there is even a juice bar in the building) and the area was extremely quiet day or night.
The floor to ceiling windows offered views of the mountains and abundant natural light. I could honestly go on and on about how much I enjoyed staying this loft.
This loft is in downtown and near a park so common sense is recommended (i.e. don't wander around alone at night and stick to the more populate areas)... surprising to me SLC has quite a homeless population that wander nearby and in the park. Don't let this comment scare you by any means, it's downtown SLC, and not LA or NYC by a long shot!!! Just want others to not be surprised :-)
Great spot in the heart of SLC! My wife and I stayed here for four nights. Emily and Andrew were great hosts and very helpful. This loft is in a great spot with walking access to nearly everything. We would definitely stay again.
Andrew and his wife were very accommodating. The loft was vey cool, in a great location, and surrounded by good people.
Great Place, awesome location.
Andrew and Emily were absolutely wonderful guests. They were a lot of fun to host. They are nice folks. I definitely would want to host them again. Any host will be pleased to have Andrew and Emily as guests
