I am a friendly, easy going grad student studying psychology.... interminably.
What do I like? Well, like most people, I love music (Metal has never been my thing but no hate for those for whom it is!). I love hiking / backpacking and have traveled extensively seeking adventure. I love good and interesting food but, admittedly, my own cooking is constrained to food that can be boiled, steamed, or microwaved... so I relish restaurant meals. I'm quite social and love meeting new people. I am not ashamed to admit that I am easily sucked into Netflix marathons (currently Orange is the New Black is devouring my life, and I am always happy re-watching Arrested Development). I'm awaiting each new episode of Breaking Bad with bated breath (go Team Jesse). I like to read, but school reading has made pleasure reading obsolete..... I guess that's what retirement is for. I stink at spelling.
As a host, my goal is to make my guests feel comfortable and at home (the limit is guests meandering about my place naked..... that's too much at home). I tend to lean toward travel that includes "roughing it" but want my guests to have the opposite experience. Though I am at school or working much of the time, I am always excited to meet guests and happy to answer questions or give recommendations.
As a guest, I really respect the generosity of Airbnb-ers in opening their house to me and respect their place and rules. I am tidy and can be quiet.
