Born & Raised In The Greatest City Of The World-New York City!
Jon, Thank you for hosting our family at your Prospect Park Apt.. This Apt. accommodated our family of 6 very well, our son, daughter-in-law & 4 yr old granddaughter slept in the living room pull out sofa and settee chair very comfortably, and the pack and play we brought for our 10 month old grandson fit well in the living room. The bedroom was very suitable for our needs. The kitchen was perfect with everything we needed, including a container of assorted teas and gourmet coffee to start your 1st pot of coffee. The bathroom is spacious, supplied with fluffy white towels. Jon's apt. was very clean and decorated very nicely. It was very comfortable place to sit and relax during all of our activities!!!
This apt is on the 3rd floor, so the steps can be an issue if you have any problems. Being across from Prospect Park was a big plus, also very convenient to the subway, and the little shops and restaurants on Prospect Park West, we were able to walk to our Grandsons soccer games, Vanderbilt Playground, and our favorite stop after the playground "Bene Pizza". Our family was in Brooklyn for a family celebration and our other son and his family lived nearby. So this was perfect.
If you are looking for a place to stay to experience all the flavor of Brooklyn, with easy assess to go to Manhattan, the Prospect Expressway, the BQE, DUMBO and other points of interest this is the perfect place to stay.
Jon, Our 4 year old Granddaughter wants to know when we are going back to our "Brooklyn Apartment" again! We look forward to you hosting our family again soon!
Jon is very helpful and reliable host. My family and I enjoyed our time in Brooklyn.
Jon was great. He was incredibly responsive before and during the trip. The place is in a GREAT location -- right across the street from Prospect Park and just blocks from a ton of wonderful restaurants.
The apartment was clean, good sized, and comfortable. I'm not sure this is the ideal space if traveling with children during the winter -- the radiators don't have covers and, when on, were super hot. It was challenging to keep my toddler away from them! The stairs also open directly into the living room -- we created a barricade with the suitcases to keep my little guy from falling down the stairs.
The apt. was a great location for our visit to family in Brooklyn with
easy walk to restaurants and park. The bed was very comfortable;
plenty of hot water in shower, apt was clean and comfortable.
Jon even gave us extra time to check out on our last day since no
other booking was arriving right away.
Jon was the best!
we were a group of 6 volunteers helping out with hurricane "sandy" relief effort. Jon apt. was great, everyone had a place to sleep and a warm shower. Jon took care of everything and we've been in touch all that time. He responded quickly to our email. everything was very simple and straight forward.
The apt. have everything that you'll need. it's close to the park. Great, simple and clean place.
We had an excellent stay on Prospect Pk SW. We were there for 3 nights. From the first contact communication with Jon was excellent. He got back to us straight away with the few queries we had. He was attentive during our stay. We were very happy with his service.
The apartment is very cosy and very well equipped with everything we needed for eating and cooking.
One point to note - if there is more than a couple staying there, your privacy is limited as there is a glass door between the bedroom and the lounge where the sofa bed is.
Great stay. Thank you.
We were a group of 6 volunteers helping with hurricane "sandy" relief effort. Jon's apt. was our base for the time there. Jon was a great host. great, very clear communication. helped a lot. the apt. was great for our team's needs. thank you Jon!
Jon was an amazing host, he communicated with me through out the process. The apt. was clean, well equipt and comviently located to NYC. We were traveling with another couple, my 2 daughters (ages 1 and 4) and out teenage babysitter. The 7 of us found the apt. to be a perfect fit for us. I was pleasantly surprised to see a highchair, and kids place settings for meals there! I am one who appreciates details and believe Jon and his wife do as well. The bedding and matresses were extremely comfortable. Although the outside of the building is a little shabby, the inside is a bright, welcoming retreat. The only negative thing I can say is tthat he two bedrooms with windows do face the street where there is a bus stop. I found it hard to fall asleep with the noise. However I am a light sleeper and no one else in my group had a problem with it.
My husband's folks came in for the week of our wedding and stayed at Jon's Prospect Park West apartment. They loved it! The space was clean, well organized with everything they'd need (utensil/dish-wise) in the kitchen, and they felt very safe there. They particularly liked being so close to Prospect Park, the shops of 7th Ave. in Park Slope, and the 15th St F stop, which let them get into the city pretty quickly. We'll recommend this apartment for any family or friends that come for a visit.
Jon was an excellent host, even patiently meeting us later than planned to hand over keys after we had spent a whopping 4 hours in arrivals at JFK when 2 of the 4 people in our party experience crazy immigration delays.
The flat was tidy, perfectly appointed, and convenient. We made dinner in one night, and some of us opted for a morning run in nearby Prospect Park. The two front rooms aren't for very light sleepers, due to proximity to a bus stop. That said, it didn't bother us (we live in London which isn't so quiet either), and the proximity to convenient transport is far more important.
We enjoyed the local coffee shop, Lark, a great deal as well as the local Thai restaurant. Jon is a great host, and the flat met all of our needs perfectly. I would definitely recommend the place and stay there again. Top marks!
