I am a 25-year old online entrepreneur living in Philadelphia for the past two years after traveling, working, and part-time living in Latin America, Europe, and other other areas during and after college. Besides a bunch of cool experiences, I came away with the oddest mix of my closest friends (from a Swiss male model to reconnecting with a random middle school classmate by a pure chance encounter in South America) and somehow learned how to speak Spanish during the process. Es de verdad.
During summer breaks in university and after graduating in 2009, I took my online businesses on the road to live and travel the world to 30-some countries. I visited Europe, Asia, and Latin America during that time, living for extended periods in Colombia and London. I now manage a team of four staff that run the businesses I started; an online travel publishing and advertising company, a career consulting service, and other ventures. My latest project is working as a freelance travel blogger which has landed me on organized press trips to Mexico, Panama, Italy, and other countries. These projects are really exciting to be a part of in terms of flexibility, the opportunity to be creative, and personally shaping my own future and the people that work with me.
Since moving back to my hometown of Philadelphia I have found AirBNB as the perfect solution to renting my apartment so that I can go on vacation. But when I am around I also enjoy connecting with other travelers. It's my pleasure to show you around Philadelphia, or give you your own space if you prefer.
Often when traveling I meet incredible people and many are more than hospitable. For years I did not have a home base to return the hospitality. But now I do have a place and one of my favorite things to do is show people visiting the most interesting places in Philadelphia .
I know the nightlife really well and also have my city walking tour down to a science since lots of friends have passed through during the years. I'm known to make up my own historical facts because otherwise Philly's traditional sites might be a little boring. I won't take you to the famous museums, but to explain interesting traditions, restaurants, and stories from growing up here. I have had enough locals show me around their cities that I understand what most travelers would find interesting.
