I studied Business administration , I work for tourists and I love my Job. I like to travel a lot . Oaxaca is a beautiful city to visit , come and enjoy it !!!
Edith was a really lovely and attentive host. The apartment is simple, clean and affordable. My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here. We were cooking our own food whilst in Oaxaca, and the kitchen in the apartment was well set up. It is a bit of a walk into town, which we didn't mind at all, but is something to keep in mind - though it is never difficult to get a taxi in Oaxaca. This apartment is a nice affordable option, and a good base to explore this lovely city.
Edith was a very lovely, open and flexible host, she made us feel very welcome. The house was located in a quite street, a bit remote but still in easy walking distance to the busy city center. All was clean and the apartment perfect to enjoy Oaxaca - a warm thank you for everything!!
Edith was a delightful host. She welcomed us early in the morning when our bus arrived in the city and provided us with a detailed map of where we can find groceries and other necessities right away. The building and apartment was very clean. There were extra blankets for cool nights and 5 gallon self serve water containers for 20 pesos which was very convenient. The building is a bit off the grid of the centro however, everything was within close walking distance.
The best part about our stay was meeting Edith! She is so knowledgeable and willing to help with absoloutely anything! She encourages you to ask questions, and provides you clear directions on where you want to go. Thanks Edith!
The apartment was very nice! It was just enough off the beaten path to feel like you were getting some non-touristy feel of Oaxaca, but the center was a short 15 minute walk.
Edith is a gem! She was very accommodating and has a wealth of knowledge regarding Oaxaca. We owe some of our best days to her advice! Edith is often at the building but is very respectful and non-intrusive. She clearly loves Oaxaca and genuinely concerns herself with her guests and their stay in Oaxaca.
Edith has several apartments in her complex. They open onto a central courtyard. Our apartment was as expected with a small kitchen area and two bedrooms. It was in good condition. My room did not have screens on the windows and I received several mosquito bites the night I left my windows open. Edith was a nice person who spoke fairly good English which was a great help. She recommended a friend who drove taxi and he turned out to be reliable and a real asset.
Response from Edith:
Hello Pat.. Thanks for your comment. Now that room has a screen and the window can be open to enjoy the fresh air, we are always seeking to enhance the guest´s experience.
Saludos de Oaxaca !!
Edith is awesome. She is immensely sweet and generous and patient with all her guests and made me feel completely at home. Staying with her and experiencing day to day life while working in Oaxaca was one of the absolute highlights of my trip and I was VERY sad to leave. I left a dear friend behind when I did. Casa de Fresno is very pretty and Edith puts a lot of energy into making it comfortable and beautiful for her guests. And Oaxaca is just magical!! So I would definitely stay again. Thanks for everything lovely Edith...
Edith is a kind and loving person. She loves Oaxaca and was very generous in sharing non-touist spots with us as well as inviting us to bring in the New Year with her family on New Year's Eve. I felt very welcomed by her.
The B n B is adequate--clean and not noisy, no frills. I recommend this place for an adequate inexpensive place to stay with a very generous owner.
The place was fantastic and conveniently located, and Edith was in contact to make sure everything was perfect.
I fully recommend her place.
Este apartamento es perfecto. Hay una cocina y salon, una recamara y un banos. Muy confortable. La casa está bien ubicada. hay un mercado cerca. Necesita solamente 15 minutes a pie para ir al centro. Me gusto mucho. Finalmente, Edith es una persona muy agradable. Me dio muchas informaciones sobre Oaxaca y mas. Recomiendo sin vacilar.
Edit is a very responsive and helpful host. She provided us with lot of helpful tips on the surrounding areas to visit, explain the public transportation routes in the city and where to eat. Edith has very nice and pleasant personality, she can become your friend very quickly. She spend a lot of time talking with us about the country and culture. We learned a lot from her.
The place within walking distance (about 30 mins) to Zocalo and we walked to Zocalo pretty much every night during out stay. Edit's house is in a safe neighborhood.
Both my son and I stayed at Casa for 2 weeks in April. Edith made sure to welcome us personally and got us off to a very good start. The guesthouse is very safe and pleasant and we liked it immediately. What stood out for us however was Edith's unrelenting help fullness. She provided advice on excursions, was instrumental in getting rides and she went out of her way to ensure that I got safely to my next destination. Thank you Edith for all your help, you are a real treasure! Trudi Thomae
