I stayed in Cozumel for 3 days and it wouldn't be the same without the great tips and Kindness from the hosts. The room is big, clean, and perfect for a couple. The sharing areas make you feel at your own home. It is located some blocks from two big groceries and the beach, but quite of a bit walk to the bars downtown and the ferry (great if you don't want to be in the middle of all the noise). You can also rent a bike for 5 US from them and explore around as you wish. You get a free internet from the park. If your goal is to scuba in Cozumel, Coral Reef Inn provides a great deals with known scuba place and also if you have your equipment with you, they have proper spaces for you to clean and store them.
I totally recommend this place.
Coral Reef inn is a place you'll want to keep going back to. It's a home away from home.
The hosts are so kind, helpful and accommodating.
We rented a scooter while in Cozumel which was very easy, safe, and convenient to get around the island.
It's walkable distance to the main waterfront road and also easy to catch taxis from Coral Reef. They have a restaurant map that we loved using!
The rooms are very clean and comfortable with AC and ceiling fan. There's cable TV and wifi.
The roof deck is really enjoyable and spacious. You can cook your own food up there.
It doesn't get too crowded or busy there because of the limited number of rooms but we still met new interesting people from abroad.
Coral Reef inn is a lovely place to stay in Cozumel. Very charming, with the kitchen open on the roof, room very neatand clear. The hosts are very friendly. The inn is located in a very quiet neighborhood with a lot of convenience: shops, movie theater, and very close to the shore.
We highly recommand to stay here and we hope that we can be back soon for snorkeling and diving on the Cozumel's shores.
We are really happy we found this place on our trip to Cozumel. The room was nice and clean, and it was great to have such a spacious bathroom in the room. Any review of Coral Reef Inn wouldn't be complete without talking about the great shared kitchen they have. Everything you could possibly want from pots and pans to Tupperware is available in the kitchen. There is also an abundance of items like spices and condiments that can be used by guests. There is even a grill. This kitchen helped me and my girlfriend save loads of money by not eating out. A few other nice perks about this place was their relationship with the largest dive shop on the island (we got a discount), the area to wash off and hang dry dive gear, and the area to lounge around in hammocks. The location was close to a grocery store and movie theatre and a few minute walk to restaurants and bars. Looking forward to staying here again when I'm back in Cozumel.
Actaully I stayed room #1 on the first floor but it was new, bright & clean and well maintained even after 5 years from the opening of this inn in 2007. Also this inn is quite conveniently located in the central of Cozumel where there are 2 supermarkets and a major diving shop close by. I highly recommend to all and about myself definitely come back there in near future for diving Cozumel!
Close to the ferry dropoff and within walking distance. A cross between hotel and guest house in that you have a private room for hanging out but can easily go up to the kitchen area and visit with other travelers. I loved being able to cook my meals, have coffee and enjoy the island breeze.
No more than 15 minute drive to nearby beach clubs for swimming and snorkeling and only 4 blocks down to a major grocery store. Totally awesome!
Me and my fiancée Rebecca stayed at the the Coral Reef Inn apartment number 2 at San Miguel (capital city of Cozumel) for one night.
We got a very warm welcome from the host Leona and had the chance to check in a little earlier than the regular check in time. Leona showed us around and we felt home immediately.
Room number 2 on the first floor itself consists of a bedroom (large and comfortable bed), TV with a wide range of international channels (there was even a German one) and a fridge. The other room is the huge bathroom with the best shower we have had on our round trip in Mexico! All was very clean!
Additional there's a terrace to share in the Coral Reef Inn, a kitchen to share and a gas run barbecue. We just stayed there for one night, so we did not use all of that, but all seemed to be in good shape. Furthermore there were some information books what to do in and around Cozumel. And for sure Leona had some good ideas what to do for us as well.
The Coral Reef Inn is not far from the harbour where the ferry boats from Playa del Carmen arrive. It's an easy 15 minute walk. The neighbourhood looks quite nice and you feel very comfortable in this surroundings all the time. There are two huge supermarkets nearby and the 5th Avenue with all the good restaurants and the night entertainment is close, too. You can park your car right in front of the Coral Reef Inn.
There's a wifi available but you have to pay for it. It's a one time 10 USD set up charge and then you can use it as long as you want to.
Concerning the check out Axy was very helpful to us. We wanted to leave our luggage there a bit longer ...no problem! Thanks again for that support!
To sum it up, the Coral Reef Inn and room number 2 is a very nice place to stay at. We had a wonderful time there and would definitely go there again and recommend it to our friends!
Lovely place to stay, highly recommended! Our rooms were spotless and comfortable - and there's a great full kitchen upstairs for the guests' use. There is no breakfast included, so don't make the mistake of thinking this, just because it's listed at Airbnb. But there's a big grocery store right up the street where you can buy everything you need reasonably, and the beautiful upstairs kitchen, with bins for the individual guest rooms, is most helpful. Wireless internet is available for a small extra charge, there are no phones. Leona and Jerry seem to know about everything on Cozumel and have lots of materials on hand about Cozuemel and Cancun. At the end of our week, Leona even offered to drive me and my family to the ferry - they are super nice people with two gorgeous dogs. It's nice to stay in town and not at an all-inclusive resort. I'm sure we'll be back!
This was the second of two rooms we rented for a week at Coral Reef Inn on a recent family holiday. If you want more detailed comments, please see my other review! I loved staying there and so did all my family.
The Coral Reef Inn is very charming and the Jenkins are gracious hosts. My room was large and spotless. My only regret is that I did not have more time in Cozumel.
