Renting out our sweat basement apartment in the awesome Bloordale neighbourhood in wonderful Toronto. I'm a TV and filmmaker who recently and happily moved back from Berlin to Toronto.

I'm a big fan of both Catie and her wonderful apartment. The apartment was impeccably clean, well-stocked, and stylish. It's located in a very hip area of Toronto. It was easy to get around the city, and within walking distance to a TON of good restaurants and coffee spots. I'd definitely stay at Catie's place again, if she'd have me back!
Staying in this apartment was an absolute joy. For starters, it's on a quiet street in a neighborhood that is rapidly improving. As an added bonus, it's two blocks from a TTC subway, which is awesome. As for the apartment, it is pretty small and basic, but in excellent shape. The kitchen is totally functional, there is laundry on site, and for a basement apartment there is a lot of light.
The best part, though, is the owner (actually a brother/sister pair) who live on site and are so unbelievably kind and friendly - as well as being totally on top of maintenance and supplies.
This is by no means a luxury apartment, but for a low-cost place to stay it would be hard to find a better fit.
Catherine's suite was clean, safe, and convenient. It is very near a metro station and there are lots of cute shops, restaurants, and cafes around. Catherine was very accessible and gave us a lot of good suggestions for the neighbourhood. She also left us little snacks and made sure we had change for the laundry. We had fresh flowers and a beautiful backyard to enjoy. The little things were much appreciated!
