The location is great, it's about 5 minutes from the local train station and 10 minutes away from Hiroshima Castle. Peace park and all the other tourist attractions aren't too far from that either. The room is huge. It's Japanese style with tatami mats and futons for sleeping. Takuma's apartment is actually 2 floors, and like everyone has said the bath is on the 2nd floor, accessible by elevator, it's quite an interesting experience. (There aren't any locks anywhere as others have said) Takuma is a very nice guy who seems to want to hang out with his guests. Unfortunately my friend and I came on a weekday and he had work. Definitely worth staying.
We only stayed at Takuma for 1 night and had no chance to meet Takuma. The apartment is big enough for the 2 of us. The toilet is at the same level which is level 8 and bathroom is at level 9, where Takuma lives. We had problem finding the heater control and turning on the heater and had to slept in cold. There is a sliding door where you can enjoy the neighbourhood view.Takuma is very responsive to all queries. From the nearest station, you will need to walk around 5 to 7 min to Takuma's apartment.
thanks a lot takuma san !

Takuma was a great host! Very kind and attentive to our needs. He offers his house for the pleasure of meeting people. I don't know why people are saying that his house doesn't have a shower room, as it is on the above floor (it's a two-storey apartament (the two top floors of the building)). Also, it's located not very far from the center, so we could visit the Hiroshima Castle, The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, the A-Bomb Dome, the center of the city, and many other places on foot. Take a day to go to Miyajima too, which is a beautiful island with a lot of deers and a "floating" torii. We had a great stay at Takuma's place!
I didn't have chance to meet Takuma-san as he was out for celebration but he has kindly arranged his friend to guide me on the stay. The room is really big that suitable for a group of ppl. The only minor thing was there is no lock that the room is directly access from the lift out. Maybe this is a common thing for this type of traditional room. The location is convenient to be accessed from Yokogawa stn.
Takuma is a nice and sociable guy, communicating with him was easy. His place is just one subway stop from Hiroshima station, definitely well connected to the rest of the town, the room is huge even if not that clean. It's a bit uncomfortable to take a shower since it is located on another floor and the corridors, stairs to get there are very very cold.
If you're young and like to meet other young people and hang out with Takuma, I highly recommend this place. It's a very chill place, quite close to the station. My friends and stay had a great time staying here.
Takuma is a great host! He was very friendly and accommodating, and his English was pretty good too. The apartment was easy enough to find via (website hidden) Maps, and I had plenty of space. I will definitely be staying with Takuma again the next time I visit Hiroshima.
Takuma is very friendly and immediately makes you feel at home. His place is huge and the location is perfect. There is a private bathroom on the same floor, a shower you can find on the second floor where Takuma lives.
We would absolutely recommend to stay at Takuma's!
